LIFE, God says, is all about LOVE ... and that love is WHAT MATTERS MOST.
LOVE others as you love yourself, he commanded, a very uneasy task -
Because we are, by nature, selfish and sinful individuals.
So a WHOLE LIFETIME to learn and obey,
( God certainly knows how long it's going to take, doesn't he? )
LOVE God, the 1st purpose,
LOVE Others in his family, the 2nd purpose
LOVE is what matters most,
LOVE is a RELATIONSHIP,
therefore RELATIONSHIP is what matters most.
RELATIONSHIP, not Achievements, he says,
RELATIONSHIP, not Acquisitions, he says,
GO for the ETERNAL, Not what's TEMPORAL.
But B-U-S-I-N-E-S-S barges in, Overhwelms and finally - takes over.
- Making a living,
- Getting promoted,
- Maximizing profits,
- Making breakthroughs,
- Increasing efficiency and effectivity,
So on and so forth, the list can go on and on FOREVER.
THESE in itself is not wrong/counterproductive or even evil. (hmmm! did I say evil?)
BUT what it does - have a HUGE impact on : WHAT ON EARTH are we here for? ...
and that is Learning to love.
It is said that the essence of LOVE is not what we think, do or provide
for others, but how much we give of OURSELVES.
I've done THIS and I've done THAT and
I've done THESE and I've done THOSE also - ALL DONE FOR YOU
I gave you THIS and I gave you THAT and
I gave THESE and I gave you THOSE also - ALL GIVEN TO YOU and
I'll be doing and giving anything you'll want NOW - and in the Future also -
ALL FOR YOU! --- and you say to me I don't love you? (sigh!)
What more do you want?
Well, what they want is --- YOU.
Your time, your affection, your presence and focus.
Never mind DOING and GIVING THIS, THAT, THESE and THOSE they can't have
the whole of YOU, yet so many have missed and still miss the point.
SO - isn't it about time to give the MOST EXPENSIVE GIFT?
Give someone your a portion of you.
God started it -
He gave a portion of himself,
and we call him JESUS.
