How should Christians think about the events that unfolded 12 years ago on 09/01/2001?
On 9-01-11? The only thing I can remember doing that day was probably eating a donut. But I don't think God cared much about that.;) But in all seriousness.....

In regards to 9-11-11,
The same as any event in our lives, no matter the degree of tragedy. God allows all things in order to glorify Himself and to bring all people to a greater of understanding of who He is.

Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Was it a horrible tragedy, something my generation (or several) have never seen the likes of before? Absolutely. But where does our focus go? On how tragic that event was? Or how awesome my God is DESPITE all that crumbles around me?

Did God cause 9/11? I don't think so.
Did God allow 9/11? I think so.
Did God use 9/11 to bring glory to Himself and draw His people close to Him? I think so. I hope so.
