The Sweetness of Forgiveness
No human being on earth is perfect and all of us make mistakes or do something wrong. Since we are not perfect, we must forgive one another despite the situation.
One of the things that make us human being to be special and distinguished amongst other organisms is our ability to forgive one another. If we cannot forgive one another then we are all nothing. Some people are very hard to forgive but at the same time they want others to forgive them for their deeds.
It is very difficult to forgive and it is this difficulty or pain or sadness in it that makes it to be sweet. Forgiveness is also a challenging task to do. The challenges involve in forgiving is what makes you to experience the sweetness of forgiveness. When you forgive someone who has hurt you or made you sad, or do something terrible to you; you feel at ease with yourself and you also achieved self esteem.
For example, when you are doing something which is difficult and after all the difficulties you succeed to achieve that thing; you feel proud and happy with yourself for achieving a difficult task. This is similar with forgiveness. It is difficult to forgive and it is this difficulty that makes it to be sweet. Anything which is difficult and hard to do; there is a treasure hidden in it. When you succeed doing it, it shows that you have overcome the difficulties in it and the reward of overcoming all these difficulties are joy, happiness and success. Part of the LORD’s prayer which we always say, says “LORD forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”. This tells us that the LORD will only forgive us when we forgive others who have hurt or done something wrong to us.
Most marriages are broken because most people refused to forgive one another. Some of them think that when they divorce their wives/husbands; they will no more have problems or difficulties. Others think that when they divorce their wives/husbands that will bring them joy and happiness. But this is not true and is a very wrong thinking. The devil is fooling them to think so. If you divorce your wife or husband because of some misunderstandings; and you think that you will meet another person that will not cause or bring you any problem; you are fooling yourself. The problems or difficulties which you are running away from, you will still meet them in your new marriage or relationship.
My dear, do not allow the devil to fool you, face your problems and difficulties in life with the heart of forgiveness and forgive one another and experience the sweetness of forgiveness.
Marriage is very beautiful and there are difficulties and challenges in it. Those who overcome these difficulties and challenges in marriage are those who forgive one another and they are those who enjoy the beauty of marriage. One of the best ways you can overcome problems in marriage is through forgiveness. In marriage you may face mistrust, misunderstanding, unfaithfulness, lies, cheating etc. All these things hurt a lot and bring a lot of sadness. When you overcome these problems by forgiving one another, the devil is put to shame and he is defeated; and he runs away because he has failed or not succeeded to destroy or break your marriage. Remember, he is out there to do these. Couples forgive one another and enjoy your marriage. Also we all should forgive and experience the sweetness of forgiveness. Above all, when we forgive, GOD also forgives us from our own wrong deeds.
Forgiveness contains a treasure and those who forgive are rewarded with this treasure. Always forgive to enjoy life.
