C
I wrote this poem to one of my friends last week. Should I give it to her? Tell me what ya'll think.
Little girl with shadows in her eyes,
heavy shoulders with the weight,
of the many tears she's cried.
And other people's hate.
Her pillow holds a river of tears,
and her room cold memories.
Her heart; not only pain, but fear
of things she'll never come to be.
She tries to be stronger than she is,
but seems to fail every time.
And to be expected from all of this;
she's losing her will to fight.
But baby girl, if your reading now,
I want to let you know;
even with life turned upside-down,
you've never been alone.
You see, Jesus is still holding you,
and He loves you more than life.
And with all the pain your going through,
He's never left your side.
So please dear child, loved by God,
don't give up on Him.
For the same One who made the stars,
and conquered the world's sin;
Is holding you close to his side,
and hoping you'll have faith.
That you will choose a better life,
and hold on to His way.
Little girl with shadows in her eyes,
