The Topshop entrepreneur is the former owner of department store BHS, which stumbled into bankruptcy this week, putting 10,000 jobs at risk and leaving about 20,000 retirees and employees facing losses on their pensions.

Topshop billionaire Philip Green under fire as 20,000 BHS pensioners lose out - Apr. 26, 2016
Can't help for those who will lose their jobs but the pensioners should be protected by law. Pension money is not to be in funds controlled by the company and secured through investment provisions of the government.

The pednsuioners are protected by law as far as theirPensions go. BHS has been in trouble for some time. It is a great pity because it has been around for eighty years. It is the third store to go in recent years. We lost Woolworths three years ago and also Comet. I dont expect BHS to be the last either.

Henny Penny, more commonly known in the United States as Chicken Little and sometimes as Chicken Licken, is a folk tale with a moral in the form of a cumulative taleabout a chicken who believes the world is coming to an end. The phrase "The sky is falling!" features prominently in the story, and has passed into the English language as a common idiom indicating a hysterical or mistaken belief that disaster is imminent. Versions of the story go back more than 25 centuries; it continues to be referenced in a variety of media.

Tell that to the retired GM workers. They were robbed of their pensions years ago and it was upheld by the US courts.

Not to worry. The sky already fell. We just think it's okay because we ducked. We don't even noticed we're crunched under the ruins. We thought the government will save us, but we were wrong. (And, no. I'm not a rapturist of any version. My version of End Times is we've been in End Times for 2000 years with no more idea of when Jesus returns then we had 2000 years ago.)

No hysteria. Just the common sense to know the West is free-falling now. No idea what that means for the future other than the world survived after Rome fell too.
