The wife, her mother, and I are about to embark upon a 1 week vacation to the wine country. As always, your prayers for a safe trip are appreciated.

Thanks

I have vacationed twice in the wine country. If you know where to look, it can be great fun. I do recommend a decent travel guide. Sonoma wine country is also worth a peek.

Thank you, thank you all. It was wonderful. As soon as we hit the road we were surrounded with cars bearing Christian logos, it was as if we were being escorted by guardian angels. I tell you, this is a powerful group here :) We're not really regular drinkers, but Napa is such beautiful country and so full of history. We stayed at a wonderful B&B *coumcclellandpriestgh*, they were such gracious hosts. We stopped at some monuments, did some antiquing, brought home a corner piece that is identical to the one my parents have had since, well, mom's mother died. Had lunch in San Francisco, it was Jan's (my wife) birthday so we did that (and sat in traffic, thankyouverymuch mr google). We did come home early, there was an issue with sister Sxxxx about the 'burden of care' of having her disabled mother in the house for a few days. Gawd forbid. So after almost 450 miles, 7+ hours on the road here I am back with you fine folks. Saying thank you for your blessings. And thank you Lord for hearing them.

It's 4:55 am. I'm gong to quit now, while I'm ahead, and work my way off to sleep. Thank you all agazzzz....

So glad to hear you had a great trip. I enjoyed hearing about your heavenly escorts! The fact that you had to come home early means we always have to pay for taking a vacation! Usually it's laundry! God bless.

Well, actually, an old friend of my wife's from back east ended up in town, and by coming home early Jan was able to have time to spend with her. Just proves that ya never know ... but God does.
