I don't think that Jonah had a chance getting away from the Lord. He didn't have a chance!!! HALLELUJAH TO THE LORD OF HOSTS!!
I want to tell you about something that happened a while ago, before I go to sleep
.
I was excited about the Lord, and one day, feeling the lax I decided I wanted to play a video game. There was conviction with it (The Lord dealt with me personally.)
I sat down and played that game all day, when I should have been spending time with him. I had dedicated the day to him. Anyhow, I played it, and as I sat there I started to feel really sick. Dizzy, nausea. In fact after a while I got up and went into the chat rooms on this very site, and started to talk about the Lord, to tell people about him. But it got worse as I spoke. I told them I would be right back and I went to the restroom. And I started to vomit. It was a very guttural vomiting. So much so that I no longer coughed up food and drink, but my stomach contents. And when that was done I kept going with nothing coming out. The whole while I WAS GETTING REVELATION FROM THE LORD JESUS!! And I was praising him for it right their in the bathroom!!!!
You might think it is crazy, but it is true. I did, and I want to tell you about it!!!
You see, in this case, I had not been in the Lord as often as I was when I first learned about him. It became on and off. Like a routine. And then there were droughts (2 days is a drought). I am sure there is nothing more satisfying than telling people about Jesus, but I got a little lazy. And I went back and did some of the, ''OLD THINGS, and of course being convicted the whole time I continued.
Then I realized something about diets. Sometimes people vomit because they don't eat regularly. Sometimes they don't eat at all, and when they get some food, they eat too much and vomit it right back up. But people who are healthy eat regularly, with drink. They balance it, so that their bodies don't go through all these changes. And at times people vomit when they eat something that doesn't agree with the body. DO YOU HEAR THIS!!!???
I thank the Lord Jesus, that he loves me so much to convict me. And even more so, cause me to vomit!!!
I sat on that toilet, and I felt miserable, as if I was about to die, BUT ISN'T THIS HOW THE PURGING OF THE LORD FEELS!!!!??
Why the binging and purging? Why not be pure!!?
Now if you are on that heavenly diet of Jesus Christ, of his bread and his drink, and you eat regularly, with drink, your body will be healthy, and will not go through so many changes.
But I want to give you all the very scripture that came up after all of this. So that you will SEE clearly that the Lord has spoken it:
6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
10 For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:
11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.
12 And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;
13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
14 ¶And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:
15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
16 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
17 And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

AND!!
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
AND!! (I AM SORRY I HAD TO POST IT ALL BECAUSE IT IS A FLOW):
1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
