tackling boredom can sometimes be challenging.. I'm just curious what everyone does to self entertain when no one else is around / of course Jesus is always with us so we Are never truly Alone..

I pray, read, meditate and memorize my bible- the word of God. I Encourage people on facebook, and on the telephone. I watch a nice clean, decent PG or PG-13 movie without cursing or sexual scenes such as "The Avengers" or another superhero movie. I read christian books and worship God with powerful worship music.

Apart from the usual Christian activities, praying, reading/studying bible, also:

Listening to music (of all kinds)
Walking, especially at this time of year when the leaves are changing into a beautiful golden colour
Travelling (to other countries), off to Krakow shortly for 5 days, have different trips planned, amongst them a visit/guided tour of the Auschwitz complex...
Going to live music events
Hanging out with friends
Computing
Window shopping
Watching movies

if i have nothing to do, i like to play the guitar. im hardly ever physically alone so having an alone time is actually an active process- i have to separate myself from my fam etc. i like to go sit outside in the cool nite air and talk to God. i also paint. and dance ( i love to do that when no one else is around!!)

God has put gifts in is to discover.. I can't imagine tue joy He gets watching His children opening them up !!!
comparing ones gifts to another is like taking your own presents and throwing them in the trash... I see this in the work often and winder how Manu gifts inside one person God has placed... And what if those gifts and talents were shared ... Teaching others in the church so the members of the body of Christ worked in harmony and unison?
Jullianna- Broke out my crossbow yesterday... Oh my goodness!!! Was it ever fun!!!
Koolcas- dance like nobody's watching girl!' i have an image of what I feel like when I dance, and then I look in the mirror and realize tue reality of the way I actually dance ... I get a giggle along with dancing..

I often think it would be awesome to organize local chapters for cc within each state to get people out from behind a computer and start creating Godly relationships in team work, adventure and the word of God... mud runs, gun shoots etc. Do what interests people ... All is possible with God

Hm, when I'm alone, huh?

I do many fun things like hunting, camping, spelunking, hiking, shooting, fishing, traveling, sports, ext...but not alone. Those are always group activities, and less frequent.

What I do when alone, for entertainment, and on any consistent basis is probably:

Pray
Read Scripture
Occasionally read or research something that interests me
Watch movies, YouTube, and the like
Listen to music
Play music
Do stuff like this on the Internet
Play video games
Write at times (be it songs, journalist, poetry, ext)
Occasionally go out to drive, explore, find something fun to do
Nature when I can (walking, ext)
Play pool, bowling, or some other leisurely and easly accessible single person sport
Think...a lot!


That's about it for 'on my own' entertainment activities. I do much more than that with others, but that's when you have a little time between work, school, and church! ^^()
