I think resisting him grieves him the most. When he puts something in someones heart and affirms it with scripture and the person refuses to do it or not do it. It would upset the holy spirit. Its amazing that we can have God himself as the holy spirit, inside of us and still sin. Sin has that much power, no wonder why God hates it so much.
