What would Jesus do? ////// my rant at TV preachers

What would Jesus do?

Would Jesus ware a Rolex on his T V Show?
Would he sell meals of fish and bread to go?
Would he charge a million dollars for healing?
Would he have 20 people to handle his business dealings?

Just what will Jesus do when he comes back to earth?
Will he charge people to see the place of his birth?
Just why are all the gospel shows we have today about money?
There just like Bees colleting all that honey!!

How can they blackmail really sick people?
Just to build yet another bigger church steeple!
People with real sickness and diseases suffer enough!
T V gospel shows ask for more and can’t pay well that’s tough!!

Its time to put an end to this spiritual blackmail now!!
Its time for those people to stop living of this fatted cow!!
This is not why Christ bled and died now is it?
I have watched these shows and for me they take the biscuit!!

Can you see them ever washing leper’s feet??
Man I would like to see that it would be a real treat!
Just how can they charge money for peoples healing?
And if the people don’t get healed it’s just like stealing!!!

No wonder people are turning away from God
I think there teaching should be about specks and logs!!
I wonder just how many white suits do they need??
I think there TV shows are all about there greed!!

Here is my tip for you if you watch there T V shows
I want you to try this and see how it goes
Just think what would Jesus really do if he was here today??
I for one can’t see him asking the needy to pay!!!

Love it BADDOG!!!! Well said! and isn't it interesting that the ONLY time we see Jesus really angry was when He saw that His Fathers house has been turned into a shop, NOT prayer. Prayer costs NOTHING and its GOD that heals through seeking Him.

What a wonderful message this beautiful poem sends to many of us who understand and and often think about ( what would Jesus do ). Jesus paid for our sins and our very lives by dieing on the cross for us. Jesus simply said seek me in all you do. Jesus did not ask that I pay someone down the street or a televangelgelist in order to obtain salvation as you so elequently stated. I truly enjoy your poems and the messages they portray. I will look forward to seeing many more.
