Has anyone called their representative to voice their thoughts? Honestly? I figured it would pass the House. Everything does. But the Senate? At least my Senator knows what I think in no uncertain terms.

The complacency of fools will destroy them.

May people in the United States, Israel, and the world over pray it doesn't destroy them as well.

I am shocked and appalled that the leaders of my nation have chosen evil. It's almost like watching one's father, pastor, or favorite childhood teacher convert to Satanism.

Yes. Roy Blunt's aide was very sympathetic and they promised to continue the fight.

Then I called Claire McCaskill. Anyone really need to know how that went?

The House doesn't get a vote. Only the Senate has a say in treaties, which Obama claims this is not, but nonetheless signed a bill passed in both houses that asserted the Senate's right to "advise and consent" on international agreements.

The bill to reject the Iran deal will absolutely pass. Sixty-six senators, including 12 Democrats, will vote against it. But Obama will veto it, and with Mikulski announcing she is the 34th senator to support the agreement, the veto cannot be overridden.

Iran thumbs nose at US even as Obama rallies support for nuke deal

Even as President Obama was securing the Senate support necessary to assure passage of the nuclear deal with Iran, Tehran's top defense officials were scoffing at U.S. claims the pact will restrict the Islamic Republic's military ambitions.

“Iran does not plan to issue permission for the [International Atomic Energy Agency] to inspect every site," Iranian Defense Minister Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehqan told Al Mayadeen News Wednesday. "U.S. officials make boastful remarks and imagine that they can impose anything on the Iranian nation because they lack a proper knowledge of the Iranian nation.”
Well, ain't that just hunky dorey with everyone? Yeah, sure it is. Join in the cheering. Your el presidenté insists.
