Both words mean destroyer. It is the angel of the bottomless pit in Rev. 9:11. The point is, that God, in Gen. 1, creates, "bara" in Hebrew, meaning gives form or purpose to. Before He does this there is Tohu and Bohu, emptiness and chaos, in the darkness on the face of the abyss (or pit), which in Hebrew is derived from a word meaning chaos. This angel guards it, and if he lets it open, what God did at the beginning comes undone, and goes back to emptiness and chaos. It is one of the signs of God's creation becoming undone.
