The Bible says that everyone will judged according to what they have done--whether good or bad.

My only question is: will Christians have to give an account, an explanation of the sins we committed on earth?

I always thought that we will be judged for only the good things we did for Christ and the other "bad" things we did will be tested by God's fire and burned up.

What's your thoughts?

Well you have to understand that everyone who has accepted jesus christ as the lord and savior of their life is spiritually being judged. if you notice that when we begin to walk in the likes of God, we begin to see what we use to be. and then it becomes a temptation to go back again. so were already in the course of being judged, just spiritually. if u go back to isaiah 14-17, it talks about how we will be judged with the spirit of fire. so in other words, God is cleaning us out and is beginning to recognize our deeds to us so that we could change and strive for perfectness with out the non-nonacceptance of our sins..did u understand?

We have been washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God (1 Corinthians 6:11).

I believe you will be judged for reward, not where you will spend eternity

Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life

We have already been judged righteous through our faith in Jesus Christ. The "judgment seat" of Christ is the "bema". The bema was where the Olympians received their rewards for their performance.

For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Romans 14:9-12

Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done is his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 2 Cor. 5:9,10

Works do not get us salvation but our works after salvation - how well we have run the race matters.

[SUP]31 [/SUP]When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
[SUP]32 [/SUP]And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
[SUP]33 [/SUP]And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
[SUP]34 [/SUP]Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
[SUP]35 [/SUP]For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
[SUP]36 [/SUP]Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
[SUP]37 [/SUP]Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
[SUP]38 [/SUP]When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
[SUP]39 [/SUP]Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
[SUP]40 [/SUP]And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
[SUP]41 [/SUP]Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
[SUP]42 [/SUP]For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
[SUP]43 [/SUP]I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
[SUP]44 [/SUP]Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
[SUP]45 [/SUP]Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
[SUP]46 [/SUP]And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. - Matthew 25

AND

[SUP]12 [/SUP]And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. - Revelation 20

the question I have is , what happens if I'm offered a reward and I want to give it to someone who has none?

The Righteous are NOT judged.

These would be the true worshipers who worship the Triune Creator God as revealed in scripture.

They go to Heaven first (the First Resurrection)...and then all others are Judged (the Second Resurrection, also known as the Second Death) and thrown into hell.

If you find yourself before the Judgement seat.....well, you will never make it into Heaven, but will spend eternity apart from the Creator.
