Which is more user friendly, Linux Mint Cinnamon or Linux Mint MATE?

Ever tried Crunchbang?

Is there any smartphone with 4G LTE data speed that is as small as my Xperia Mini? I'm gonna miss this thing but it only does 3G.

What is the latest Mint Debian shaping up to be? Any good yet?

Can you tell me how to set up Puppy Linux for deployment across a network? Is it even possible without having a CD at each client box?

Cinnamon, at the time that I used it (this was a couple of years ago, mind you). It was not as stable, though, and reportedly used more system resources (i.e. memory).

Apart from the obvious: Scan for viruses and delete programs you never use,<br>how do you keep a computer from being sloooooooow? (without adding RAM)

This is actually so accurate it's amazing. An estimated 97% of my tech support is effective use of google. And the people I'm helping will watch what I'm doing, see that I'm just googling error messages and following instructions... and still think I'm some kind of wiz. I can live with that. :)

ok so i was saving pics to my computer My Pictures folder..I hit something and it made the My Pictures folder super-size.. there is no minimize button and the resize arrows won't work to resize the folder. How do i get the folder back to normal size? Having it so big is annoying..

You can set the size of icon in the upper left hand corner. Next to 'organize' there's a tab called 'image' (or something, I'm using the dutch version so...). Click it and use the slider to adjust the size of the icons.

My question is just the opposite.... and no one has been able to give me an answer that worked... and I have tried MANY things since getting this crazy Windows 7.

How do I make every window default to full scree size?

the size of the icons isn't the problem. The entire My Pictures folder is huge, and I can't minimize it back to where I want it. :(

If the three sizing buttons aren't showing (that's the dash, box, and x in the upper right hand corner of the window) the window is probably hiding them off screen. Just move the window so that part is back on screen and you should be good.

Of course there's always the standard answer - turn it off, then restart it. That should also clear the issue.

What I want to know is, with electrons running at the speed of light, why do I have to wait so dang long for the machine to do anything? I've yet to see a computer that has even the slightest concern for what I want to do.

To the OP do you know anything about Linux? I have installed Ubuntu on my desktop and I LOVE IT, but i messed things up when I tried to use the same USB to install linux on my windows 7 laptop. I accidentally deleted completely the option to boot from USB in the UEFI Bios... I don't know how to recreate the filepath. I'm attempting to just set the laptop back to factory settings right now to see if the bios reverts back to what it was.

Right click on a shortcut -> Properties -> Shortcut tab -> Run: Maximized.

This can probably be done via a command line or a batch file also for multiple programs, but I'm not proficient in that area.
