It seems like every time I click anything on CC, every other load is an error message. It wouldn't be such a big deal but I often lose whatever it was I typed if it was a message. I may have to reload this thread several times before it works...

I have a Windows 7 Pro, and a Dell with a Intel Core i3-3240 CPU. It's the nspirion 660S model. Is my computer just too old??

IE sucks.. FF is not much better. They both crash on here quite often. I use Opera and have no problems whatsoever. And yes, your computer is old. :)

I am not a fan of internet explorer or safari.....I prefer pale moon. It is based on an older version of firefox and I haven't had the problems that I have on firefox...it is faster than google chrome too. I would say either try pale moon or opera, I don't like the opera design, but that is just my preference.....

Yes -- on both sides of that question. lol

You might have to give up using IE to get here. (I have pretty much given up on IE in general by now.) Try Firefox or Chrome. But, good news, you're not the only one using Windows 7. I am too. Although our computers may be considered "old," they're still capable of getting us places online, including here. It's the IE that seems to convince so many into trying other platforms.

It is actually getting to the point where Internet Explorer is not being compatible with with any website. Plus, it is NOT a secured browser, so I would not recommend checking financial statements through that browser. I currently have Firefox and have never had an issue with it.

chrome and firefox work well for me here. i tend to use opera when i check out the chat rooms.

while you may have an older pc, it shouldn't be the cause of your problems.

My pc at work is even older (still uses vista and IE 9), never had any probs with CC there.

This is a far cry from the truth. IE 11 Is the widest supported/developed-for browser on the net.

This is...sort of true. It's actually a very secure browser, but SO MANY people attack it and exploit any and all security cracks in it that the browser gets the bad reputation.

Anyways, you may need to either reinstall IE or just use another browser, Steph. For all we know, you have some underlying malware even that could be causing your browser woes (o noes!).

I hope not either. D:

By the way, Windows 7 and a 3240 CPU is perfectly fine. You're not "outdated" just because your stuff didn't roll off of the assembly line yesterday.

Poor internet explorer... forever destined to be incompatible. Even Microsoft doesn't want it any more.

Microsoft is developing a new browser (currently "project Spartan") that will be released with Windows 10, so IE may be put on the wayside pretty soon.
