Is there some way to stop getting email notifications every time that somebody responds to a thread that I'm subscribed to? When I was here in the past, I don't remember getting all of these emails, so I'm guessing that there must be something in my "Settings" or something that allows me to stop them. Can anybody help? Thank you.

under settings, click on "General Settings", the scroll down to "default subscription mode" and set it to "Do not subscribe"

Once you do this empty your Subscriptions folder since changing the setting will only stop new subscriptions, not clear old ones.
