Made the change over yesterday upgrading from Windows 7 pro to Windows 10 pro.

I could not accomplish the operating system upgrade thru Windows Update so I had to go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and download the .iso image (you have to choose the right version home or pro [don't choose the N option unless you live in Europe and want the N option]) and burn it to a dvd and then install windows 10 (making sure to keep files and apps so I didn't lose anything).

Of course, I did a full backup before I upgraded.

As it was an upgrade, I was not prompted to provide my existing product key for Windows 7 though I strongly recommend you do make sure you have your existing product key on hand before you do the upgrade.

Well, then I spent a few hours configuring it to my liking. This included installing classicshell and making it as much as Windows 7 Pro as I could lol.

Honestly, I love Windows 7 Pro. I hate Windows 8 on the PC (though it's fine for tablets). I'll live with Windows 10 Pro using classic shell seeing as that's the choice Microsoft presented.

Good luck.

Actually, I did finally find a way to delete the KBB file. It still downloads Win10 and wont update a dang thing until it finishes. Looking online this seems to be an issue... Microsoft is going to FORCE THIS THING DOWN OUR THROATS whether we want it or not. At this point I figure the only way to stop it is to wipe the hard drive and reinstall Win7.

You should be able to right click on the Win 10 update and select "Hide" (from where you review and select important and optional updates).

I went from 8 to 10 yesterday, it went flawless.
Actually I was a little disappointed because I like to 'fix' things, but there was nothing to fix :(
Well, ahem, actually there was a slight glitch on both laptops, one going from 7 to 10 and the other 8 to 10...Kaspersky 2015 anti virus had to be updated.

Is it even wise to go from 7 to 10?
I can see 8 to 10 because they are somewhat similar, but 7 compared to 8 is a pretty big difference.
I dont want 10. I am content with 7.
I was looking into my updates the other day and I see that windows 10 has been attempting to upload on my laptop almost daily. Next to it it reads"upload failed" I keep clicking NO! What in the heck is going on anyways?

Frankly, it doesn't matter what OS I'm using. I've yet to see any computer that could give a rats behind about what I'm trying to do with it. If you ask me ALL of them are demon possessed! lol

Thanks sis! Your a life saver:)
I read in the article that it said to remove(I just did) but it says to hide as well? How does one hide something that isnt there? Any ideas?

If you are not interested in Windows 10, you can remove this program from your PC. Go to Windows Update->Installed update, remove KB3035583. Also, you need to hide the update again in windows updates to prevent it from auto installing again since this is marked “important”.
