If you were to post your personal info on one of these threads, the entire online world can see it, and it's searchable on Google. As far as your privacy settings, no one can see your personal info unless you have provided it on your profile page. Anyone here can visit a person's profile, but if you don't want anyone to see your profile info, you can edit that in your Settings tab. Many people here foolishly give out their phone, email, Skype, Yahoo, etc etc, not realizing how many weirdos are on here, then they get inappropriate pm's or emails, and opine that they shouldn't have given out their info.. :/
I would also suggest for privacy sake, that to protect yourself and your kids, if you have any, that you NOT post personal pictures of yourselves on here. That just gives weirdos something else to inappropriately comment on.

I'm not sure that answered my question though. lol. I knew that if I posted that kind of stuff in the threads it's public/searchable. What I'm talking about is when you go under the control panel and go to privacy settings, you can set all the things for your profile and what people can see and what stuff. What I'm trying to find out is, what exactly is my "Contact Info". You can change it where everyone can see it, registered members can see it, contacts, and friends. But what it doesn't say or explain is "What my Contact Info" is. I don't want the friend requests I accept to get personal information like my email address (which is really the only person thing I have on here; everything I don't put on there anyway) without my knowledge.

They can't access that, only the mods can..You can set it to where no one can see your profile info though..

The correct answer is that your email is never visible to members. Period.
The settings you have now seem to restrict some profile information to friends only. You can go through and set which things you want shown to who. Things like age, birthday, pictures, about me, etc... So you could set 'about me' for everyone, but set your picture for 'friends'.
But anything personal, like email, is never shared and actually prohibited from being posted publicly. Under the New Isers section is a New Users Help thread. You can sift through that for more site functionality as well.
