Okay so this "customize my profile" function, can this customized profile be viewed by other people or was it meant for my eyes only. I ask because, my profile is pink but everyone else's profile is grey -_-

I figured, either grey is the new black or the customization isn't public? It used to be, right?

If you choose to customize your profile page, you can put a background image on it, add a profile pic to it, choose the colors you want it to be. Jkalyna used to have a background image, I think, but I don't know how you do it..lol.. I'll go to your profile in a minute and see if I see gray or pink..lol.. :)

If they are all the same then that is an option you chose on your end. To dismiss user customizations.

Alright, another noob q :)

I tried changing my profile background image and it was cool until the image disappeared, the url was the same but it wouldn't show the img anymore, just the color :/

I tried another url, same result.
I tried another both body background image, and inactive module background image, same result.
Is it my cache or does it actually not save the changes? :(

I don't see an image on your profile customization either, only the colors (so unlikely your browser or cache).

What file format is the image (jpg/jpeg, gif, bmp, etc.)?

Did you click the "save changes" button? I only have a profile pic. I dunno how to do backgrounds, lol.. Ask jkalyna, she might know cuz she has, or had, a profile background..

It's in jpg. It shouldn't matter that it's an external link, right?

So, this is what I have in page background, url("http://cgvector.cgvector.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Vector_Floral_00027.jpg")

I see it in preview, but it doesn't save :(

I'd still like to know why linking it wasn't working.

Oh well. Glad you found a workaround. :)

No idea. Maybe my coding was wrong? url("http://...") or maybe external images aren't allowed? Seeing it work on preview, though, was misleading :)
