I am looking for another laptop and below are what I use the laptop for:-
1. MS SQL and Visual Studio for development during free time
2. MS Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
3. e-Sword
4. Surfing the Internet
5. Plays music and movies

I am planning to get another i7 and I would like to seek your advise which brand would be good for me? Should I get another Toshiba or consider an Asus or something else?
One thing I can recommend, if possible get at least 1080p because visual studio kind of sucks with 720p and I regret getting my laptop for that exact reason.

I don't recommend taking these types of "top x laptops" lists very seriously.
Oh come on! People paid good money to be in those lists! The least you could do is read them. :p

It's hard to tell what kind of pc to buy, unless they let you take them home, and you use them, and decide which one is better. Here's what I use. I started using Macintosh, new, very expensive, but I always found good ones, some not good, but a warranty you could buy. They are easy to use, and can be converted to windows.
Here's what I need to know. The ones I have, are voice activated, like your iphones, since they are also made by Mac software.
They are workhorses, and very durable. The voice activation comes with many different characters of speech, and you could activate the speech to just speak what and where you want to go on it. It is amazing, and one like a robot, you tell it what to do. So here's what happened. I had the speech activation on, and went out, I usually have it on, when I leave, to monitor the house, via my phone, through another website, and the phone calls via the answering device on it.
This is what happened. I came home, and started to do something on it, and words popped up, written, actually printed saying this.
"do you know if they have a answering machine." I'm going to cut the phone wires.
When the voice activation is on, it picks up, and links to the words that were said.
There was thousands of answering machines posted, I was not sure how to activate that message, to play, to who spoke it, on the Mac. It announces the time, and it tops it off with the voice activation, if you say, bing without typing it will do it, it is also for the deaf, with the words typed out. It has a tiny hole of a web cam, and a self mic within it. Large speakers, and updates. I'm going to find who spoke that, or maybe it was there, as I never used voice activation before, it seemed to technical, but as a monitor it is great, as it picks up the sounds, and the cam option. Even though the words were spoken, they get typed also, and it goes to the website. The good thing I like also, is dial by speech, like the ipones. Mac's software is the same as all the iphones. It uses safari, although it updates, to Opera, google chrome, although with google chrome, it doesn't allow the utubes to expand when put into high definition, because of their software. There's the internet E. and just about any other browser you could download.
So if any one has any more details, about the voice activation, if you know how to set the time and date, on it, when it picks up. These work both on the desktops, laptops, and ibook's. I't memorizes the speech, and I'm going to find out how to let it repeat it after it connects to the website, although Techs. could actually get that back, as every input in the computer is encrypted into the mother boards memory's hard drive. That I don't know how to do. Computers are like secret devices, a lot of information is found, and many could be convicted, of doing the wrong things, it's real prove.:)
This is a great thread, to help one another, not to buy a lemon.
