yes, I already wrote to the mods, twice actually, and have not received any help

I have changed my settings several times and nothing works

I would appreciate some help on this please

It won't show the points. You have to get so many points for each rep power then it will show Rep Power: 1.. 2... 5.. etc.

well maybe I am confused on this? but hey, thanks for the quick responses :)

in my settings, I see I have 422 points...I had 3 reps when I began this thread and now I have 6...you guys are great! so thank you, but still nothing is showing up?

maybe I did not explain myself right, but I thought reps show up but the points are in yr settings but as you can see, it seems I have no reps...which is not so

it's not the end of the world, but it's nice to see them

Ohhh okay yeah if you do have 6 rep power and it's not showing, then I have no idea. It definitely should be showing. Hopefully a mod or someone who knows more than I do can help you. :/

Perhaps turn them off under General Settings, save it that way, then turn them back on and save again. Maybe it's just a little hiccup in the system.

Thanks Willie! I'm collecting haha

still showing 5 but apparently I need patience (I seriously do)
You're welcome. Since "LIKE's" are thrown around on this particular forum like candy at a Christmas parade, they really don't mean very much. (I see some people who "like" EVERY post anyone makes, whether they agree with it, or not.) So, I use "Reps" more like other forums use "LIKE's".

You can't expect your rep points to increase with every post.
They are connected with a variety of things. post count is one of them, but not one point per post.
I think your rep power is also affected by nr of reps received, but I am not certain.
Nr of years on the forum also counts I think

People use things differently. I tend to give reputation to posts that are not just "kinda OK", but really good.

uh...that's not at all what I'm posting about

I am saying that I have been given x number of reps...as in 'great post there kiddo keep going and here is a rep'

only, and here I pause for station identification, they are disconnected...I don't see em, joe does not see em and neither does the person who gave em see em

I really don't care why they are given...I just thought my new hobby would be collecting them (kidding)

I don't even know the difference between rep and rep power...do I get a cape?

it's ok...I am going to become known as the child who pouted over not getting enough reps when that really is not it at all

LOL!

I have found that if the person giving you a REP has a high REP POWER, then you stand a better chance of their power moving you up, say.75 % of 1 point (3/4 of a full REP point.) Sometimes, if you were already close to the next point level, that one post might be enough to increase you by a new number.

If, however, the givers have low numbers, themselves, then five or six people of low reputation level might have to all REP you before your own score will change even 1 point.

The amount of powers a person has determines whether or not your rep points will increase. If someone with no powers reps you, then your rep points stay the same. If someone with say, 20 powers reps you, you will gain 20 rep points, plus gain a green bar. Post numbers count too. You get 1 power at 50 posts, and then the mods determine a number after that for you to get to before getting another power from your posts.. You have your rep turned off, so we can't see your green bars, but we can see your number of rep powers.

are you trying to find your rep comments ?

Only way I know of finding them is to click the message that says you received a new rep

For each 100 reo points you receive an increase of one rep power. The accumulated points are not shown, only the amount of rep power. Currently, I see a rep power of 6 displayed on your post.
