What do you guys think? I'm not a mobile junkie but I was planning on getting a new phone by the end of this year. I think the phone's alright but oh my goodness, those AirPods are freaky expensive. $159!? Ugh

$160? Oh no way! I don't even like Apple's ear pods. They hurt me. I use Panasonic earbuds from Big Lots and they cost me $5. :p

I don't use them either. But apparently there are no 3.5mm jacks for iPhone 7 so you can connect earphones only via bluetooth or thunderbolt adapter which sucks, all my beloved earphones and headphones are not bluetooth. The AirPods are bluetooth but they don't come free with the iPhone, at least so far I've heard. -_-

Abby, just wait for 2-3 months, during Thanksgiving/blackfriday/christmas.... the price will drop by $100 at least, you don't want to waste your money on the initial sticker just to be cool! :) Plus they will work out any glitches like firmware/software/hardware and the losers who got baited to buy it will be $100 shorter...just think of what that extra $100 can buy!

As far as bluetooth headphones, I would imagine you could pick up a cheap pair of bluetooth headphones for $30-50 sure they won't be air pods but they'll get the job done....

My own personal model of phone buying is to buy one every 3-4 years b/c it's just not cost effective to keep buying a new phone every year (that's how the corporations make profit of course so they say to be cool/trendy get it) but in reality your iphone has about 2-3 years of shelf life still in it via firmware updates from apple until then and after 2-3 years you need to buy a new phone b/c the firmware won't support the old device and also your battery life will be in the gutter. I still have my iphone 4s and don't plan on getting another one until next year....it saves money and I don't care to be trendy/cool lol my wallet feels better though ;)

Personally I hate my iPhone. I have a 6+ and am looking forward to the day I can rid myself of it. My dad and brother feel the same way.

yea I'm bad about not reading original posts sometimes...good to know...glad you want to save that cash and buy it later....Thanksgiving weekend/cyber monday (after thanksgiving) are great times to get deals especially on Amazon, but you get the best ones at night lol in the wee hours of the morning (12am-6am) so you have to sleep early the prev day and drink coffee late at night lol (been there done that) :)

When buying a new model of anything, it's always best to wait two or three months
and let others have the aggrivation of dealing with the new bugs, faults and waiting
around for software fixes to be introduced.
