Hi all,

I have burnt a number of DVDs today on my laptop ( Windows 7)
But the last few DVDs have popped out and I get the error message that I need to make sure I have the latest " firmware" for my dvd burner.
I dont even know what that is?What do I need to do?
Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Mooky.

Give me the model number of your laptop and I can help you....

firmware is a type of software that is flashed onto the hardware (similar to how your iphone or android updates from IOS 7 to 8 or ANdroid kitkat to lollipop.....

It also could be an error with windows 7 itself...

Stop, do the DVDs work fine? If so, don't worry about it. Ive never heard of having to flash new firmware in order for DVDs to burn.
I doubt windows is giving you the warning, what burning software are you using?

I am sorry but when I first saw this post saying having issues with burning DVDs. I thought that is strange since it is pretty easy to set DVDs on fire with matches. LOL. Then I realized what you meant. Also, what is your default burner you use? That would be good information for Breno. God bless. :)
