How do I change username?

Hello, I'm brand new to the site and joined to discuss marital problems with people in similar situations. In reviewing the forum rules, I found that our username and content is indexed on Google servers and available to non members. So looking to change my username as it reflects my name. If anyone can assist I'd greatly appreciate it.

I would request to have this account removed and explain why you want to do this. Then you can create a new one.

Or even better, just ask to have the account deleted and when that's done, make a new one with the new user name. You don't need to explain why you want to change your name. Many people do it that way instead of paying $5 to make a new account..

Good thinking blue. Encourage him to ignore the rules and act dishonestly while also robbing the site. Never mind that it puts him at risk for being banned for his dishonesty.

There is no name change option. There is only account deletion and creating a new account. Ignore blues dishonest approach and inform the mods, as people have stated.

But keep in mind that account deletion dies Not mean your old account posts or name are removed. So anything posted under your current name will still be visible.
You can ask mods about removing them, but there is no guarantee. Policy is normally to leave posts.

All you need to do is create a new account and then request to have this one deleted (Drop me a CC mail once the new account is active). We quit charging the $5 fee years ago.

Well, Ugly, it seems there was NOTHING dishonest about my approach after all. Straight from a mod's mouth, they stopped charging five dollars a long time ago. I already knew that bit of info, or I wouldn't have made the suggestion. The SAME suggestion that Oncefallen just made, btw.. I'd like an apology, for slandering me by calling me dishonest, please. :) Maybe you should do some research on the rules and regulations here, before you accuse someone of lying or being dishonest next time. Thank you, Oncefallen, for making that post and clearing my name in the process. :)
