Wifey & I recently switched to another IP. Our data package is 256 GB each month. How much data does YouTube use per hour? I know it varies, but what is the average?

The Baptist proved with great wit
The Presby's sword has rust
But in the data race he sits
A Baptist left in dust

You have a rusty butter knife,
And I a bullettless gun.
Ppl watching us fight,
Thought we looked rather dumb.

Heya Grace.

If you and the wifey are downloading/watching, the data would range more or less between this for "1 HOUR" of VIDEO -

240p ~ 150 MB
360p ~ 250 MB
480p ~ 400 MB
720p ~ 800-900 MB
1080p ~ 1.2 -1.4 GB

Cheers.

All I have asked,
Is how much data.
Tell me Presbyterian,
Or I'll pound you into the strata.

How can I check the pixels of the video?

Okay.

Now you're just being weird with your questioning.

Anyway, here's the pixel answers to what I think you're looking to know.

352 x 240 (240p)
480 x 360 (360p)
858 x 480 (480p)
1280 x 720 (720p)
1920 x 1080 (1080p)

You will not touch a lock of hair
I know who Baptists serve
The prince of the power of the air
Forget the data
You don't deserve

A Brother at church mentioned he checked videos to see how much data they used. I was just wondering how I can do this. I am far from a techy guy. How do I know what is 240, 360, etc.?

Go to Youtube, choose a video, click on the Settings gear and then click on Quality.. Unless you're downloading videos, it shouldn't use any data at all. I watch youtube all day every day.. :)

Using youtube DOES use data. ANY use of the Internet uses data.

I watch youtube on and off every day. I never download anything, or upload.. whatever..lol
Yeah but data is going downstream to you when you watch a video so technically it is downloading but you're not saving a copy of the video onto you're computer.
