Hi all,

I am just wondering if its possible to withdraw money I have sent to a PayPal account?I have searched the Q and A in Paypals help centre and have not found a good answer to this.
Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Mooky.

Actually, I dont mean withdrawing from my PayPal account but withdrawing money from a recipients account ie.someone I sent money to and I now want that money back.Sorry - I should have been clearer.:)

there is no way to do that

you can open up a 'dispute' with paypal...for example, say you paid for something and it either did not come or was not the quality you were led to believe it was

but there is no way you can touch the account of another person..thankfully

your other option is to ask them to give it back

sorry

If you want money back from a recipients account the recipient has to send it back from their account to yours. There's nothing really you can do from your account if the money has been transferred. You can contact the recipient for your money back.

I think it takes a few working days to be deposited in another account if it is transferred. So you can click the cancel button to stop the transfer

my experience with paypal disputes is that they are very fair.

if you were defrauded somehow, and can show that, they will act on your behalf. if you just changed your mind about something after the fact, though, then you should be talking to whoever you sent the money to about a refund.

I think they're a little "more fair" with the buyer than with the seller.

But yeah, you should be able to do a dispute if the recipient won't return the money.
