Have just purchased a PC microphone and will
try to join in the chatter through the Chatroom app

But a fellow Aussie said that I have to pay a monthly sub
fee to use my microphone.

OK how do I do this?

Will Adobe Air run my mike in Chat?
Or will my AMD audio card and software be sufficient?

Anything else I need to know?

Thanks for any answers,
MR. Waggles :)

Adobe Air is required to run the app.
And if you're on a laptop/pc on the front page, right side, it says Pitch in 2 fill the gap. That should be where you set up payment.

If I'm not mistaken, when you try to click on the mic in chat (without a subscription) the site will prompt with a link to the subscriptions. The link on the main page is for non-subscription donations.

Just a fair warning, it can take 24 hours for a subscription to take effect.

Hi Waggles, it's free to use the mic if the mic is available (when there is no queue), but the "mic queue" is a subscriber feature. I mean, you don't need a subscription to access the mic when there is no queue. But if there is a queue (e.g., in a busy room), to be able to utilize the mic queue, yes you need a subscription. Feel free to message me in the forum mail.

Yes your mic should work with our chat application, though you might have to set it in your Windows settings. You can test it in an empty room or a room where there is no queue.

I had a similar issue when I got my microphone for ASMR, so I can definitely relate. Regarding the monthly sub fee, it depends on the Chatroom app you're using. Some apps may require a subscription for certain features, while others may offer free access.
