I think they are probably doing some site maintenance or upgrading or whatnot.. In the old days the site would be down for a whole day or two, and I mean it did not even open. The browser says to check the url because the site doesn't exist... First time it happened I thought maybe I got banned lol.
So if it is just maintenance, be glad its just slow and not completely down...

I was thinking that 12 yr old ex marine ((??)) launched a ddos attack. The 'checking your browser' thing is part of common security countermeasures for that sort of thing, and the site had been uncharacteristically slow to load for a bit before that screen started popping up. Wouldn't be the first time, I'm thinking, too.
