This is an issue in firefox with something called protected mode. It typically occurs if you have the Realplayer addon installed as an extension in your browser. Conflict between realplayer in browser video download and protected mode and flash.

I have only had this issue with firefox, chrome and IE work ok.

Although chrome for the last week has been acting up.

So if you don't use realplayer just uninstall it completely, or just try chrome or IE.

I dont have firefox. I am using IE...this has been going on all day long and I still haven been able to get into chat...(deeper sigh)

This complaint is posted new every other day.

Standard answers seem to be clear your cache, check your flash updates, restart your machine.

I get this from time to time. I just keep trying. I've had as many as 10 attempts in a row to get into chat when this has happened.

im not getting into the chat rooms either. :( i thought it was my pc problem or net prob or something but it seems like a lot of us are getting the same prob. i use google chrome and i also installed the latest adobe flash and deleted cookies etc but still nothing...help!

Various browsers seem to be having different issues with CC. I'm haveing the most trouble with chrome right now.

Firefox seems to be having the least number of issues, but with firefox I cannot go hands free on the mic.
