When I select more than one option, highlighted or not, the options do not all take in formatting text? Do you have a tuto for this?...thanks........

I'm confused by this post.
When you say 'option' do you mean various text passages?
If so do you mean when you select them all, and try to change the format (font, color or size, etc...) that they are not all changing to the same thing?

If that is what you are asking, are you copy/pasting from another source such as a website?
If so i've found some websites will have a formatting style that is not undone on CC. This is common on some sites when i will copy/paste a section from the bible. I will have to erase the portion of text that won't format with the rest and write it in myself.
If this isn't what you're asking then perhaps a more detailed explanation could help.
There are no tutorials on the site. Just the FAQ area, this section and there are a few sticky threads in certain sections explaining how to do things. Such as how to post a video in the Music forum. I've yet to see anything else. Perhaps check in the FAQ section.

Also, keep in mind this section is for any kind of tech/computer type question. Not just about the site, so it could benefit you to specify if you are posting a CC question or general tech. I was confused if you were asking for CC or not at first, til i saw your question asking for tutorials.

The subject of my question is formatting, that would be text. It is my own text. The options are, obviously, formatting options. The references are as clear as I am able to make them. When I type my text and I highlight all the text, then select my font, the size of the font, and the color, I do not obtain the three. This also occurs if I do not highlight and attempt the same. Going advanced seems to be of no avail. This being CC's site, I thought it not necessary to mention, but it is in CCR.......

Wow. Forgive me for my ignorance. I will know better than to attempt to bother you with my ignorance in the future. Thanks for the condescending attitude when i try to help. Maybe someone smarter than i am can help you.

Also, at the top of the User2User forum it has this..

[h=1]User2User Tech Support[/h] Get or give free technical support on using Christian Chat -- or any computer-related problems/questions!

I don't know how much clearer they could have made it. (doesn't feel good to be talked down to like that, does it?)

Please forgive me if I sounded that way. I was being direct to your input. I was a radio operator in the USAF, and sometimes I fall into radio talk in print. Nope, I was just giving you what you asked for. Trying to be concise. Again forgive may clumsiness.

We have been hearing of a few issues with formatting. Not as prevalent as other problems, but loud and clear, JuameJ. Can you provide details as to which browser you are using? Since different browsers have different engines, you might have better luck with an alternative.

I understand where you may have picked that up from his response. Please don't fight condescension with condescension or sarcasm though. :)

When I try to select the following options, font:Comic Sans Size:4 and a color, sometimes the font comes but not the others. I never get the color. I have tried highlighting first, then the options, I have tried the options then typing, and other combinations. I am using Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7.
I am vision impaired to some degree, and I like to try to give people the best resolution, contrast and size possible from my experience, realizing of course not every vision problem is the same. So that is how it goes.
Also, I was directed to this particular forum by one of the experts.

You might want to try Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, JuameJ. I have yet to experience the issue you're running into while using Comodo Dragon (a counterpart to Chrome), and I wouldn't doubt for a second that - since IE10 was released for Windows 7 only recently - the site is not optimized for it. I had problems with another forum when using IE10 prior to it's official release as well, so do try an alternate web browser, if you're willing.

Feel free to follow up too, whether the outcome is good or not so good. :)

Thank you very much, I do have both, but everything I like to use is here in IE, plus I prefer the IE features. (Old folks resist change...)

Fair enough! Only thing I can advise then is that you roll back to IE 9. I do tech support on a forum, and other people have a few issues with IE 10. Microsoft is not exactly on the ball with quality assurance on their updates as of late.

I believe I have resolved my problem with formatting text in IE. After typing the text, with the a/A (upper left tool bar) on the whited selection, or not blued, highlight the text and, in my case, select the font, then highlight the text and the font language at either extreme and select size (4), and finally highlight all, including formatting language, and select the color.

Now if I can remeber this for myself in the future, I will be a happy camper. God bless you all for helping, that means you too, Ugly...

This changes the editor from HTML to source mode. Honestly, I don't know enough about HTML scripting to explain why that would work better, but I'm just glad you found a workaround. :)
