When I talk in the Chatroom through my mic, everyone tells me it sounds like a machine gun firing. What's this issue and how do I go about fixing it? Thanks.

Are you using a mic built into a laptop (with the webcam)? Or are you using a standalone mic?

If the former, then let me know the make and model of your computer and I'll try to help. :)

Nah, I'm using a headset. It might have to do with the desktop I'm on and a particular plugin.

Might be the jack or the port. If it works fine in other programs though, then you may be right; it could be related to the browser or your current Flash install. Make sure that you don't have the gain set too high; that will cause distortion.

Several people have reported this problem as well. Some have said it is the fault of the latest Flash update and have unstalled the most current update and reinstalled an earlier version. Not sure if it is 11.3 or 4 which is the earlier version however.

yeh it's not their mic, or anything like that, and it happens at random...just another bug the site exterminator will have to look into. be patient.

for now try all you can in, clearing cookies, sign in and out, different browzers, adobe versions like already mentioned, etc.

If it's software related, it's either going to be tied to Adobe Flash or the driver software for the mic I think. Clearing browser cookies won't do a thing for it. :)
