Video tag

How does one embed a video from Hulu? YouTube videos are straightforward, and the disclaimer in the 'insert video' button says Hulu is supported also, but when I post the link with the video tags for a Hulu video, it just posts a hyperlink; no embedded video.

I've also tried using the embed code but that was a step backwards, if anything.

I didn't find the video on YouTube that I'm trying to use; otherwise I would have defaulted to that.

Any ideas?

I found a picture that sums up all that I know about embedding videos, Khatru.

Post what you tried - exactly as you tried it - for the Hulu video. (using 'noparse' tags)

1. Copy URL of desired video
2. Click on "Insert Video" button here on CC
3. Paste link in field
4. Click OK

No issues with YouTube URLs. But the Hulu URL I used just posts a link - no video.

You should try flushing your DNS.

lol ipconfig /flushdns or.....hit Repair in the network properties..

I notice that the html code being generated is different for Hulu and YouTube -- Hulu gets a simple anchor with 'href='; YouTube gets a dimensioned iframe with 'src=' -- I think this is a RoboOp question now...

On a whim, I also tried:

[video=hulu;1183]http://www.hulu.com/watch/1183[/video]
[video=hulu;1183]http://www.hulu.com/embed/1183[/video]

- which produced different html code than the other times with the "Insert Video" feature of the editor - but that looked like it ought to have worked - but did not...
