how do u edit a post?

I can't find the "button" or anything to click on to edit a post. i saw in the past, but i don't see it anywhere. it's probably right in front of me..lol

You only have a 5 minute window to edit/delete a post. After that you're stuck with it, so make sure everything you post is how you want it, and that you really want it said. Mods will only change a post for you under specific circumstances, such as putting personal information, breaking the rules. They won't just fix mistakes or things you want to change or take back.

only 5 minutes? that's kinda mean. I thought about it and a day later have serioiusly have changed my mind from TMI personal info and now i have to live with it forever? oh my ...i don't want to draw attention to it either so i guess i'll just leave it alone

It's not mean. They have various reasons for that time frame. Its not random or mean. Its 13 years of experience in running this site and recognizing the need for it.
If you feel a post has personal information you'd rather it not you can ask if a mod is willing to remove the information.

Well, they aren't going to want you to keep asking for changes to be made, since most requests seem to be refused anyways. So may want to slow down on your posts or you may be stuck with a lot that you regret.
