This has been going on a few weeks. That's why you seem so many people as 'leaves the room'. People who freeze and have to relog show as 'leaves the room'.

Well, with there being so many people with the issue, it's likely something Robo has to work out. I've not heard any comments about it from admins or Robo.

Then i guess it's time people start speaking up. Perhaps everyone thinks it's on their end and no one has said anything. I think it has to do with the new chat room client because it started roughly around when that was instituted a few weeks ago. Before that i never had this problem.

So if admins come in to read, i've spoken to a number of people who seem to be having this problem, i have it and i see a lot more people popping in and out quickly. It always reads 'has left the room'. The room freezes up when this happens and you have to re-enter the room to fix it.

Iris, I HATE it when the rooms freeze up!! Especially if I'm in a pm with someone talking about some important issue. :(

What Windows are you using?

How fast is you PC?

Do you have the RAM memory maxed out?

Do you use Advanced System Care and run it a couple times a week?

What Browser are you using?

How fast is your Internet Service Provider?

Do you have programs running in the background at the same time as Christian Chat?

When is the last time you ran DEFRAG?

All of these can be a factor in your program FREEZING.

Are you using a camera link?

I do not use the Camera link Chat sites, because that takes WAY more memory to run smooth. In fact I just stick with the Bible Discussion groups where you just type posts like this. I have not had any problems with that freezing.

But my ISP recently jumped our service from 30Mbs down to 60Mbs down. :) I have CHARTER cable for an ISP.

These days RAM is cheap so if you do not have it MAXED OUT, it is a good time to do it. I have 4GB DDR3-SDRAM in this laptop.

I have Windows 7

I run Advanced System Care about 3 times a week. It removes all kinds of junk files that they add to your PC without you even knowing about it, every time you go on the internet. I use the Pro version, but even the FREE version does a very good job of getting rid of those Junk files, Temp Files, adware, spyware, malware, etc. Speed Up Slow Computer, Keep PC and Internet Secure, Freeware Download - IObit There, that is their website.

I use the IOBIT Smart Defrag about once a week. You can get it at that same site above. IT IS WAY FASTER THAN WINDOWS DEFRAG.

I recently found a new Browser that works better with FAR, FAR fewer lockups than anything I have ever tried. I have used Internet Explorer, fired it, went to FireFox, fired it, went to Chrome, fired it, went to OPERA, fired it, but I am KEEPING this new one, as it is way better than anything I have used before and it is designed specifically for Multi-Media. The new Browser is TORCH, and it is based on Chrome engine, but thinned down so that it runs a lot smother, with a LOT fewer popups, and no hostile takeover tactics. Torch Web Browser - Your All in One Internet Browser

Too many bookmarks, or Favorites can slow your PC down too.

If you forget you had a high memory use program running or forgot it open but minimized, (such as Photoshop Elements), and then jumped to this website, YEAH, it will probably freeze up.

If you have never run any kind of program to get rid the junk files, I would download that Advanced System Care first, you will be shocked at how many thousands of junk files it finds and gets rid of.

Maybe there's a problem with your software, not with the site.
The rooms don't "freeze" on my laptop.
