My mum was brought up as a Coptic christian. Just wondering if anyone here is a Coptic christian or brought up as one?

Personally, I'm just a christian. However, I am interested in your personal view points. Traditions, culture and history view points.

Please share. Thank you :)

Hello, pleased to meet you. As you know, there are only about 163,000 Coptic Christians in the world with most of these brave people living in Egypt.

Nice. It is so sad yet blessed to hear and see news on what Coptic Christians face daily.

There are some Coptics that I have talked with herein, I believe you will meet them as well. :)

I was born to a Christian family here in Indonesia, I guess that makes me classified to join the fellowship in this forum.

"There are about 18 million Coptic Orthodox Christians in the world. Between 10 and 14 million of them are found in Egypt under the jurisdiction of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria."

I have an older couple who are massage clients of mine. As Coptic Christians it is their tradition to go back to Sharm Alsheikh every summer to visit family and have mini Bible school and daily studies with their family.

I like how the coptic icons look as if they were painted by children.

No problem. :)

Yeah, I did hear about that tradition. Not sure, if the current generations do the same thing. Guess it depends how they were been brought up at home.
