Salvation has always been the same...both in the OT & in the NT....and even in the Koran.

Salvation is available for those who worship The Creator as Triune.

The subject of salvation is always faith and the object of faith is always God.
But the basis and pivotal event for the salvation is the death of Jesus Christ.

yahweh tells exactly in HIS WORD. (several places, all through, all in harmony with his plan in yahshua)

[h=1] Ephesians 2:1-12Revised Standard Version (RSV)
[/h] [h=3]From Death to Life[/h]2 And you he made alive, when you were dead through the trespasses and sins [SUP]2 [/SUP]in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience. [SUP]3 [/SUP]Among these we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, following the desires of body and mind, and so we were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. [SUP]4 [/SUP]But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us, [SUP]5 [/SUP]even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), [SUP]6 [/SUP]and raised us up with him, and made us sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, [SUP]7 [/SUP]that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. [SUP]8 [/SUP]For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God— [SUP]9 [/SUP]not because of works, lest any man should boast. [SUP]10 [/SUP]For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

[h=3]One in Christ[/h][SUP]11 [/SUP]Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called the uncircumcision by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— [SUP]12 [/SUP]remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

The people in the Old Testament times put their faith in the promise of a future Messiah (Jesus), and it was credited to them as righteousness. In our time, we put our faith in the Christ who has come.

John 5:45-47 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, on whom you have set your hope. For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me.
But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?"

John 8:52 The Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, 'If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.'
Joh 8:53 Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be?"
John 8:54 Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, 'He is our God.'
John 8:55 But you have not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word.
John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad."
John 8:57 So the Jews said to him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?"
John 8:58 Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am."
John 8:59 So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.

They believed in what was called Abraham's Bosom and the Place of Torment. But some refered to it as hell in old testament.

Job 26:6 - Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering. Psalm 16:10 - For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Proverbs 7:27- Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

2 Samuel 22:6 - The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;

Job 11:8 - It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?

Psalm 30:3 - O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that i should not go down to the pit.

Deut. 32:22 - For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

Back then they used to sacrifice animals for God to forgive them but that only covered their sins not cleansed them unlike the sacrifice of Jesus Christ who was the "perfect lamb". Therefore making them have to wait in the grave, pit, hell, heart of the earth, since sin is not permitted in heaven. The death of Christ was what liberated those in Abraham's bosom unto heaven since their sin that they contained was cleansed & those in torment either in hell if that wasn't hell already. That's why Jesus told the other man on the cross today you shall be with me in heaven.

Luke 16:19-31

Matthew 12:40 - For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Luke (23:42-43) - And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

2 Corinthians 5:21 - For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Don't forget Romans 2:12-16, for those who haven't seen Christ, but knew there must be a God and had love in their hearts.
