Im talking with a Muslim friend from Highschool right now. Why are some Muslims so radical but some are peaceful. So many verses in the Quran speak on violence to non-believers.

My friend lived in Pakistan as a kid but came to America later on. He told me as a child in school he was never taught violence but to be and do good to all to please Allah.

He does admit he hasnt studied the Quran very much.

So what do we say to peaceful muslims to respect them? While voicing the truth about Islam and violence.

Perhaps voicing the truth about God and how He loves all of His children. I had a Muslim friend too years ago. She was a very peaceful and caring person. She acted more like a Christian should act than some of my Christian friends.

Ask yourself why some "christians" are not loving and generous to those in need.. Ask yourself why some churches deny the divinity of Jesus,, why some even deny Jesus was raised from the dead in his body.. Your answer should be that a lot of churches and christians do not believe the Bible as it is written and are therefore fake Christians.... So why should you think it would be any different in the islamic world?? Even in islam the Sunni muslims declare the Shia muslims to be heretics and factions within sunni islam like Wahhabi declare other non wahhabi's sunni muslims to be hypocrites worthy of death...

So if your fellow muslim school kid is a friend to you and is peaceful then he or she is in rebellion against the quran which teaches muslims to wage jihad against unbelievers untill they submit to islam and also that no muslim should ever be the friend of Christians or Jews and if a muslim is a friend to a Christian or a Jew then he is as one of them.. Meaning they are hypocrite muslims who are worthy of being killed... Many muslims kill other muslims in Syria because they believe they are hypocrites ( fake muslims)

"""""quran 9:
29 Fight those who believe not in allah, nor hold that forbbiden that has been forbidden by allah nor aknowledge the religion of truth, from among the people of the book, until they pay the jizyah with willing submission and feel themselves subdued """"

So a true muslim will fight against people of the book ( The book being the Bible and the people being Jews and Christians ) until they pay muslims tribute money called the Jizyah and are in submission and are made to feel they are subdued that being second callss citizens under the domination and ruled over by muslims.. Any muslim who is not engaged in this global jihad is a hypocrite and a False muslim..

""""quran 9:
73 O prophet strive hard against the unbelievers AND the HIPOCRITES, and be unyealding to them; and their abode is Hell and evil is the destination."""""

The words ""strive Hard" in this translation is the arabic word of Jihad muhammad was ordered to wage jihad against both the unbelievers and the Hypocrites and be unyealding to them.. All true devout muslims look upon muhammad as being the perfect example of what all muslims should strive to be life.. So all muslims who are true muslims will do like muhammad did..

"""" quran 9:
111 Surely allah has bought of the believers their persons and their property for this that they shall have the garden, they FIGHT in allahs way, so they SLAY and are SLAIN....""""

So here the quran declares that muslims are bough slaves of allah and their purpose is to Slay ( meaning kill others ) untill they are Slain ( killed themselves ) Who are the true devout muslims doing this today?? Well the guys in groups like ISIS and the terrorist attackers in London recently.. When the launch their attacks they keep on killing unbelievers untill the police kill them.. So the jihadists attackers and the ISIS fighters are the true muslims while any peace loving and friendly muslim is a false muslim who according to the quran is a hypocrite worthy to be slain..

The Bible is the standard that reveals what Christianity is.. No matter what people who call themselves Christian believe or how they live.. Likewise the quran is the standard that reveals what islam is.. No matter what your friend at school thinks it is or how they live..

Yah thats what I was thinking but wasn't sure if I should go the route of showing him why we see Islam for what it seems to advertise. Or jusr stay on my beliefs. But at the same time this man isnt ready by all means to convert so I have to figure out how to be respectful and speak my counter belief without sounding arrogant. Even though Christianity teaches the only way to salvation is through Jesus. How do I say that without being arrogant sounding.

We are good friends so I have a lot of lead way and trust built up already. So its not like I will hurt his feelings too easily or make him feel threatened on his belief.

You may find some of the posts in this thread informative
http://christianchat.com/miscellaneous/153017-lets-talk-about-quran.html

Here is another post comparing Islam and Christianity:

Muhammad vs. Jesus: Judging Religions by Their Central Figures

Every time I post a video about Jihad, several Muslims, and some non Muslims, send me messages saying, David, why are you judging an entire religion by the actions of a few people? These messages are confusing, because nowhere have I ever said, look, some Muslims carried out a terrorist attack, therefore Islam promotes terrorism.

Instead I go through Islam's most trusted sources, showing them Muhammad's teachings promote jihad. So I am not judging Islam by the actions of a few Muslims, I am explaining what it teaches
(haha boy can I ever relate to this because the haters here have been ridiculous!)

I can only assume that the people who tell me not to judge an entire religion by the actions of a few aren't saying this because they have thought carefully about any points I have made. They are saying it because this is just what they have been trained to say whenever someone criticizes Islam. There is no actual thought involved
(beyond wanting to kill the messenger!). It is now an automated response.

But since I am getting bored pointing this out every time I talk about jihad, I decided to make a short video clearly stating my position on judging religions.

My official position on judging Islam is this: we don't judge Islam based on the actions of Muslims who slaughter unbelievers in the name of Allah, or rape their female captives, or beat their wives into submission, or murder cartoonists. We don't judge Islam by Isis or
Al-Qaeda
or the Taliban or Boko Haram or Al-Shabaab or any of the other terrorists groups who want to violently subjugate the entire world to Islam.

Instead we judge Islam based on the teachings and example of Muhammad, a man who
A was convinced at one point that he was demon possessed
B tried repeatedly to commit suicide
C admittedly delivered revelations from the devil
D complained that he was a victim of a magic spell that
gave him delusional thoughts and false beliefs

E supported his religion by robbing people
F started a war with Mecca when he had a chance to live in peace in Medina
G had people assassinated for criticizing his religion
H beheaded hundreds of Jews for trying to defend
themselves once they realized he was eliminating them

I ordered his followers to execute anyone who leaves his religion
J commanded his followers to violently subjugate the entire world
K tortured people for money
L bought, sold, owned, and traded black African slaves
M called Ethiopians raisin heads and claimed that Satan looks like a black man
N had sex with a nine year old girl
O had at least nine wives at one time even though his own revelations only allowed four
P married the wife of his own adopted son after causing the divorce by lusting after her
Q had sex with his slave girls
R broke the promise he made to his wives that he would stop having sex
with his slave girls after he got caught with a slave girl in the bed of his wife

S allowed his followers to rape their female captives
T took the most beautiful captives back to his own tent
U told his followers they could beat their wives into submission
V declared that women are stupid and that their testimony is unreliable
W promoted idolatrous pagan practices like kissing the black stone and bowing down to the Kaaba
X repeated stories based on forgeries and passed them off as revelations from God
Y portrayed God as deceptive and Jesus as a complete failure
Z has kept more people from knowing the true God than any other false prophet in history

So, if we judge Islam by Muhammad, what can we conclude?

Worst religion ever!

But we need to be consistent here, which means that we shouldn't judge Christianity based on the actions of Christians who invented hospitals to care for the sick, invented orphanages to care for unwanted children, pioneered the western education system by starting universities like Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, and Princeton, led the scientific revolution, ended slavery in the west, and so on. We don't judge Christianity by all the Christians who changed the world. We judge Christianity by the teachings and example of Jesus, Who

A created the universe
B sustains the universe and existence
C laid aside His glory so that He could enter creation as a human being to suffer for our sake
D as to His human nature, was born of a virgin
E fulfilled dozens of Old Testament prophesies
F miraculously fed thousands of people on more than one occasion
G walked on water
H could calm storms by speaking
I healed the sick
J cleansed the lepers
K cast out demons
L raised the dead
M made the lame walk
N gave sight to the blind
O gave hearing to the deaf
P gave hope to the oppressed
Q confronted and rebuked their oppressors
R broke down the barriers that kept people divided by race, class, and gender
S ordered His followers to love everyone including their enemies
T commanded His followers not to use violence in His name
U endured torture and death for our sins
V told the Father to forgive those who crucified Him
W rose from the dead
X gives us His righteousness so that we can know God
Y intercedes with the Father on our behalf
Z will eventually judge the entire world

So if we judge Christianity by Jesus, what can we conclude?

Best message ever!

To all the Muslims
who sent me messages pointing out that we should not judge Islam by the actions of Muslims? Thank you for the comments, I agree with you completely. We don't judge religions by their adherents. We judge religions by their central figures and teachings.

I would go with a mixture... But i would spend some time investigating problems within the quran before you get into a discussion like that with them.. I like David Woods as a good source of problems with the quran..

You are welcome. There is also what is known as the principle of abrogation in Islam, where earlier verses are discarded if a later verse seems to contradict the earlier one. Since the Qur'an is not in chronological order, you need to know the historical context to find out which verse is considered valid and which has been invalidated. In other words, the Qur'am cannot be understood on its own, which is why the Hadiths and the Sunnah are important. Unfortunately, most of the verses of peace were written before the verses of violence, of which there are over a hundred, explicitly commanding death at worst and harm/being treated poorly at best for those outside the faith. The explicitly stated aim of Islam is world dominance through terror.

The greatest threat to terrorist groups like the Islamic State, The Taliban, Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab, and Al-Qaeda, is not a UN resolution or the US Military. The greatest threat to terrorists is an informed population, because only an informed population can undermine the ideology that gives rise to jihad.

With this in mind, let's go through 10 facts about the Qur'an, history's
most effective manual for violently subjugating nations and cultures.

Fact number 1: The word Qur'an means recitation. The Qur'an is something that is supposed to be recited from memory. Muhammad and his companions weren't big on reading, and in Muhammad's time, portions of the Qur'an were only written down as memory aids. It wasn't until later that some of his followers came up with the idea of putting it all together into book form.

So, why would Muslims want to recite the Qur'an? Because:

Fact number 2: Muslims believe that the Qur'an is the word of Allah. The angel Gabriel, as the story goes, delivered verses to Mohammed, and Mohammad passed these verses on to his followers. But as far as the Qur'an is concerned, Gabriel and Muhammad were mailmen. It's the word of Allah not the words of Gabriel or Muhammad. Why do Muslims believe that the Qur'an is the word of Allah? Because:

Fact number 3: Muhammad said so.

The Qur'an was supposedly revealed to one man, Muhammad. Unlike the Bible, which contains numerous shorter works written by around 40 different authors, the Qur'an stands or falls with the lone testimony of Mohammed, a guy who's first impression of his revelations was that they were demonic, a guy who repeatedly tried to kill himself, a guy who believed he was the victim of magic spells that give him delusional thoughts and false beliefs. A guy who delivered versus to his followers and later blamed the devil for tricking him. A guy who had sex with a nine year old girl, had nine wives at one time, even though the Qur'an says Muslims can only have four, married the divorced wife of his own adopted son after causing the divorce; told his followers that it is okay to beat their wives into submission, and so on.

So... What evidence did Muhammad offer to show that his revelations were from Allah?

Fact number four: Muhammad's main argument for the inspiration of the Qur'an, was what we'll call the argument from literary excellence, one of the silliest arguments ever offered by anyone for anything. My poetry is better than your poetry,so my poetry must be the inspired word of Allah. The idea is that no one can produce something as wonderful as or more wonderful than the Qur'an.

Now, there are all kinds of things we could do to make the Qur'an better than it is. We could take out the verses about slaughtering unbelievers or about raping female captives or about having sex with pre-pubescent girls But one simple way to improve the Qur'an would be to put it in chronological order because:

Fact number 5: The Qur'an is not arranged chronologically. Apart from the first chapter, which is a short prayer, the rest of the Qur'an is basically arranged from the longest chapters to the shortest chapters. But the longer chapters were generally much later than the shorter chapters, so the Qur'an is thoroughly disorganized, making it very difficult to read. You might not care about the order, but it's actually extremely important, because"

Fact number 6: Some parts of the Qur'an abrogate or cancel other parts of the Qur'an. Later revelations typically abrogate earlier revelations, but since the Qur'an isn't arranged chronologically, we don't know which verses are cancelled, and which versus still apply, without massive collections of commentaries to help sift through this mess.

You will recall that the main argument for its divine origin is that it is so incredibly well-written, that it must be from God. Yes so wonderfully written that nobody can understand what they're supposed to do without consulting a team of scholars. This is my modern take on the Qur'an; what did Muhammad's contemporaries think of it?

Fact number seven: Muhammad's contemporaries were convinced that the Qur'an was plagiarized from earlier sources. How do we know what they thought about the Qur'an? We know because the Qur'an repeatedly tells us that Muhammad's contemporaries accused him of stealing his stories from others. How did Muhammad respond to charges of plagiarism? He declared that:

Fact number 8: The Qur'an is a continuation of previous scriptures. The reason so much the Qur'an sounded so familiar to the people of Arabia wasn't that Muhammad was plagiarizing earlier sources, those earlier sources were also the word of Allah. That's why they sounded the same!

Of course Muslims today know that those earlier sources thoroughly contradict the Qur'an, so they are forced to claim that the earlier sources were corrupted.
This is extremely odd because:

Fact number 9: The Qur'an was only compiled into a book because much of it was lost. According to Muslim sources, entire chapters of the Qur'an were forgotten. Large passages came up missing, verses vanished. This is in spite of the fact that Allah promised, He promised in chapter 15 Verse 9, to protect the Qur'an from corruption. He couldn't do it, which calls into question the rest of what he said in the Qur'an. Why is this relevant? Because:

Fact number ten: The Qur'an is the highest authority on matters of sharia:

Raping female captives, beating women into submission, chopping off
hands for stealing, grown men marrying little girls. These things come
from this book (the Qur'an), which most certainly is not the word of God.

Learn these facts, my friends, and share them with others.

Three Qur'an Verses Every Christian Should Know

Islam is often presented as a very simple religion: it is just submission to Allah. But if you dig a little deeper you find out in the Qur'an, Sura 4 verse 65, that submission to Allah requires complete obedience to all of Muhammad's decisions, and that is where Islam gets a lot more complicated, because Mohammed's decisions are spread across thousands of stories in the Hadiths.

Most Christians don't have the time, or the sources, or the desire, to go through all this material, and figure out what Islam teaches. No problem. That's what we're here for, and we are happy to serve that role in the body of Christ.

But we should all keep in mind that there are more than 1.6 billion Muslims in the world, and that Islam places a strong emphasis on preaching, and winning converts. Chances are, we are we are not going to be there when your Muslim friends preach Islam to you, or when your children go off to college, and hear about how wonderful Islam is, not only from their Muslim friends, but also from their professors.

It seems then that Christians in general need to know something about Islam. Rather than throw everything at you at once, I'm going to give you three simple verses. Now I would love to see Christians around the world learn maybe a dozen or so Qur'an verses that I think are very important. But if I were to narrow down the list to just three verses, these would be the three.

First: Surah 4 verse 157 (by the way those are basically chapters) Chapter 4 verse 157. This verse gives you the Islamic View of Jesus' crucifixion. Let's read it.

They said in boast (they here are the Jews) we killed Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah, but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts with no certain knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of assurity they killed him not.

Notice that Jesus was not killed, he wasn't even crucified. Islam denies that the crucifixion of Jesus ever took place. But if Jesus was never crucified, why do people believe that He died on the cross?

The Islamic view is that Allah miraculously disguised someone
to make him look like Jesus, and it was this other person who was crucified, not Jesus. The reason you believe that Jesus died, according to Islam, is that Allah did an excellent job tricking everyone.

It is interesting to ponder the theological depths false prophets
will go to to in order to deny what Jesus did for us.

Second: Sura 5 verse 47

Muslims often claim that the Bible has been corrupted, but there are plenty of verses in the Qur'an which show that if the Bible has been corrupted, Allah certainly doesn't know anything about it.

5:47 is one of these verses. In 5:47
Allah commands Christians to judge by the gospel. He says, let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by the light of what Allah hath revealed, they are no better than those who rebel.

Allah commands us to judge by the gospel, and he says that we are rebels if we don't. Clearly we can only judge by the gospel if we actually have the gospel.

So the Qur'an assumes that we have reliable Scriptures. Of course if we obey Allah and we judge by the gospel, we have to judge that Islam is false, because Islam contradicts the gospel. The gospel says that Jesus died on the cross; the Qur'an -Sura 4 verse 157- says that he didn't. The Qur'an tells us to judge by the gospel. Therefore, if we listen to the Qur'an, we have to reject the Qur'an.

Third: Sura 9 verse 29. If you have never understood why Christians and other religious minorities are so horribly mistreated in places like Iraq, and Egypt, and Pakistan, the reason for the abuse is found in the Qur'an. Allah commands Muslims, once they are in the majority, to violently subjugate Christians and Jews.

Allah says in 9:29
Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the last day (notice it says, fight those who do not believe, not fight in self-defense. This is a command to fight people on their beliefs) nor hold that forbidden which has been forbidden by Allah and his messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of truth from among the people of the book (people of the book are Jews and Christians) until they pay the jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Muslims are commanded to fight us until we pay tribute to them and feel ourselves subdued. We have to acknowledge our inferiority, and accept our status as second-class citizens who don't have the same rights as Muslims. This command has probably led to more oppression than any other command in history.

If you watch my videos you might already be familiar with these three verses, but I would encourage you to pass this video onto your friends. Islam's most powerful asset in the West, with the possible exception of political correctness is ignorance. If people don't know anything about Islam, then Muslim preachers, along with groups like CAIR and ISNA, can say pretty much whatever they want to say about Islam, and nobody will know any better. But if certain facts about Islam become common knowledge, our discussions with our Muslim friends will be much more productive.

Striving to institute world-wide sharia law is an Islamic religious duty.

Point number two @ 3:12

Many people don't realize how politically oriented Islam is at its core.
In fact, Islam is less of a religion than it is a religious ideology.

It includes a mandatory and highly specific legal and political plan for
the whole society: Sharia. There is no separation between the religious
and the political in Islam. Rather, Islam and Sharia constitute a
totalitarian means of ordering society at every level, including:

ritual worship, transactions and contracts, morals and manners,
beliefs, and punishments. In the Qur'an, Allah makes it clear that
man made governments such as a democracy, and free speech,
such as criticizing the
Qur'an, are abominations, and must be eliminated.

The modern expression, "creeping sharia" is used to describe the slow
deliberate and methodical advance of Islamic law in non Muslim counties.

Official sharia courts already operate in the UK, handling cases ranging
from divorce and financial disputes to domestic violence. Attempts to
introduce sharia in the legal system in Germany, Sweden and other
European countries are ongoing.

While sharia already has a foot in our door in the matter of minor disputes
like inheritance and domestic violence, it should concern you that sharia:

commands that drinkers and gamblers should be whipped; allows husbands
to hit their wives; allows an injured plaintiff to exact legal revenge,
literally an eye for an eye; commands that a thief must have the hand cut off;
commands that homosexuals must be executed; orders unmarried fornicators
to be whipped, and adulterers to be stoned to death; orders death for both Muslim
and non Muslim critics of Muhammad, the
Qur'an, and even sharia itself; orders
apostates to be killed; commands offensive, aggressive, and unjust jihad.

As written in the
Qur'an, sharia is the law of Allah; any other form
of government is a sin. It is the duty of every Muslim to keep striving
until all governments have been converted to sharia law.

Are you for real? Wow so confusing.

Watch the videos. They will explain it, and if you go to youtube, David Wood's acts17 apologetics and others will explain it to you (Ravi Zacharius also, who has been doing apologetics for probably over forty years, he has much to say about the Muslim and Islam too... there are others, also). Yeah, their religion is not even a religion so much as a totalitarian system meant to govern every single aspect of life. Don't believe everything any Muslim tells you, either, since their supposed holy books instruct them to lie for the cause of the spread of Islam. That is call taqiyya. This site may also be helpful to you :) The Quran's Verses of Violence

See point number three on taqiyya and abrogation, below the image...

For every opinion or belief someone may hold there will be another party who just as strongly opposes that idea. Both sides usually claim to sit with the best arguments, the real facts and the correct world view, and (ironcally) both sides regard the other as being indoctrinated, blind to the obvious and outright stupid.

Most people only expose themselves to information that matches their own worldview. It is uncomfortable to do otherwise. Still, we would like to give you some surprising information about Islam. We also urge you to look further than only mainstream media, and if you can find the time for it, read the koran yourself.

To get you started, we'd like to present you three things you probably did not know about Islam.

1. Islam has not been hijacked. That Islam has been hijacked is what non-Muslims naturally assume, because they assume all religions are the same. The reason non-Muslims are so easily confused is that most of us don't realize the difference between the Qur'an and every other religious book we are familiar with.

The Christian Bible is a collection of writings from various authors written sometimes hundreds of years apart, with parables, advice, and dreams, all collected together into one book. Same with the Jewish Torah.

Even those of us in the west who are neither Christians nor Jews, are still familiar enough with these religions to know this much, and therefore we assume the same is true for the Qur'an. But the Qur'an is only one book written by one man in his own lifetime. It is meant to be taken literally, and it is not full of symbolism or vague analogies. It is mostly direct commands.

Of course, the Qur'an contains contradictory statements just like other religious books, but the Qur'an itself provides the reader with a way to know what to do with the contradictions. It's explained in the Qur;an that if you have two passages that contradict each other, the one written later supersedes the one written earlier.

Most westerners are unaware that the peaceful tolerant passages were written early in Mohammed's prophetic career. According to the Qur'an, those passages have been abrogated by later, more violent, and less tolerant passages. So when most westerners hear jihadists quoting violent passages from the Qur'an, and then peaceful Muslims quoting peaceful passages, they interpret that the way they would if someone
was quoting the Bible or the Torah. They think to themselves, oh, there must be many different and contradictory passages, like there are in other religious books, so Muslims can pick and choose what they like and justify whatever actions they want to take.

But the Qur'an is nothing like that. There is no picking and choosing. It says very explicitly and in no uncertain terms that a Muslim must not alter or ignore any part of its very clear and direct message, or they will burn in a fiery torment forever.

Point number three, @ 5:53

Muslims are allowed to deceive non-Muslims if it helps Islam. For non-Muslims, this principle, called taqiyya, is another surprising concept of Islam. While most other religions speak highly of truthfulness, the Qur'an instructs Muslims to lie to non-Muslims about their beliefs and their political ambitions, to protect and spread Islam. There are many examples of today's Islamic leader saying one thing in English for the western press, and then saying something entirely different to their own followers in Arabic a few days later.

Deceiving the enemy is always useful in war, and Islam is at war with the non-Islamic world until the whole world follows Sharia law. All non-Muslims living in non-Islamic states are therefore enemies, so deceiving westerners is totally acceptable - even encouraged - if it can forward the goals of the spread of Islam.

As a recent example, the Islamic American relief agency were seemingly raising money for orphans, but were in fact giving the money to terrorists. They deceived goodhearted western infidels into giving money to organizations that were actively killing western infidels.

Do the research yourself. This is not an isolated case.

Islam as a religion of peace. Muslim organizations worldwide often declare that Islam is a religion of peace. But what does that really mean? It seems easy for a Muslim to quote a peaceful verse from the early parts of the Qur'an while, by following the principle of taqiyya, neglecting to mention the fact that it has been officially abrogated by later more violent verses.

According to the Qur'an, the world will be at peace only when Islam and Sharia reign in every country - and never until then. This is why every Muslim can truthfully say that Islam is a religion of peace.

If any of these (three) points took you by surprise, then there is surely much more you still don't know. This subject will affect you in the near future, so take the chance to inform yourself now - before it does.

The Qur'an on abrogation, Sura 2:106
We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is over all things competent?

Sura 16:101
And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allah is most knowing of what He sends down - they say, "You, [O Muhammad], are but an inventor [of lies]." But most of them do not know.

Sura 17:86
And if We willed, We could surely do away with that which We revealed to you. Then you would not find for yourself concerning it an advocate against Us.

Its almost as if all this material that is stated to be religion just keeps getting more and more unreal. Like what was this guy thinking writing this.

Mohammad? LOL. Well, he was an adulterous, polygamous, uneducated, illiterate, brutal, blood thirsty, war mongering pedophile, and honestly it seems he made it up as he went along :p This explains his process more thoroughly :)

Facts About the Qur'an (Part One)

Islam is a collection of teachings and practices that were common in Arabia

during the time of Muhammad. There were several tribes of Jews preaching
monotheism in Arabia. These Jews had the Torah, along with tons of other
stories
that were recorded in the Talmud, and other sources. Many of the
stories in these
additional sources were based on Biblical characters, but
they were fictitious.
Stories about Abraham being delivered from a fire,
or a bird teaching Cain
to bury his brother, or Solomon talking to animals.

Muhammad heard the stories, and now they're in the Qur'an.

There were also a variety of tales about Jesus and Mary, that certain
heretical Christian
groups believed, stories about Jesus speaking at birth,
Jesus giving
life to clay birds; Mary giving birth under a palm tree, and so on.

No historian
on the planet believes that these stories are authentic,
but they were popular
in Arabia during the 7th century.

Muhammad heard them, and now they're in the Qur'an.

In Sura 18, Allah tells us that Alexander the Great traveled so far west
he found the place where the sun sets. This was a popular story during
Muhammad's lifetime; Muhammad heard it, now it's in the Qur'an.

The Qur'an even claims that Alexander the Great was a devout Muslim,
when we know historically that he was a complete pagan.

During Muhammad's time, the Sabians, who are mentioned several
times in the Qur'an, recited a creed, "there is no God but Allah."
Muhammad heard this creed and simply added the words, "and
Muhammad is his messenger." The Sabians also prayed at all 5 of
the times Muslims pray during their prescribed daily prayers.

Some of the Persians believed that after death, a paradise of sensual
delights
awaited them, complete with houris, the perpetual virgins
Muslims believe they will be awarded in Paradise.

It seems that Muhammad simply took a bunch of the beliefs and
practices the were popular in 7th century Arabia, gave them an
Islamic twist, and incorporated them into his new religion.

The pagans, by the way, thought this was hilarious.
They regularly made fun
of Muhammad for believing
everything he heard, so they called him "the ear."

Let's read a passage from Ib'-- about Muhammad
and one of his critics a man named Nabtal bin al-Harith

I have heard that it was of him that the Apostle said, whoever wants
to see Satan let him take a look at Nabtal -- He was a sturdy man
with long flowing hair, inflamed eyes, and dark ruddy cheeks.
He used to come and talk to the apostle and listen to him, and
then carry what he had said to the hypocrites. It was he who said,
Mohammed is all ears. If anyone tells him anything, he believes it.
God sent down concerning him, in Sura 9:61 of the Qur'an, and of
them are those who annoy the profit, and say he is all ears, say,
good ears for you. He believes in God and trusts the believers and
is a mercy for those of you who believe; and those who annoy the
apostle of God, for them is a painful punishment.

So the pagans could tell that Muhammad was simply
adopting stories and practices for Islamic purposes.

Not surprisingly the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, is saturated
in paganism and idolatry. D
uring the Hajj, Muslims walk circles around
the Kaaba, the cubicle shrine that they pray to. They kiss the black stone.

They run back and forth between the hills of Safa and Malwa and so on.

Where do they get these practices? Before Muhammad conquered
Mecca, the Kaaba was a center of pagan worship in Arabia. The
Kaaba was surrounded by three hundred and sixty pagan idols.

24:78 -- Narrated

The prophet entered Mecca, and at that time there were 360 idols
around the Kaaba. He started stabbing the idols with a stick he had
in his hand, and reciting, and say, truth i.e. Islamic monotheism or this
Jihad against polytheists has come, and Satan, or polytheism, has vanished.

This is when Muhammad took control of the Kaaba.

But why would he want to take control of a pagan
temple and make it the center of Islamic worship?

Let's back up a bit. When Muhammad and his followers were in
Mecca years earlier, they prayed facing Jerusalem. The pagans
prayed facing the Kaaba. Muslims prayed facing Jerusalem like
the Jews. You can line up the Kaaba and Jerusalem if you wanted
so that you were facing both, but the direction
of prayer was Jerusalem.

When Muhammad was in Mecca he really thought
that the Jews were going
to accept him as a prophet.

The Muslim Community eventually moved to Medina, and the Jews
could tell immediately that Muhammad was a false prophet, because
they knew the Torah, and Muhammad only knew some stories that
he had heard. He was all ears, remember.

But Muhammad could not even get those stories right, so the Jews
rejected him, and Allah said to Muhammad in Sura 2:144

Now shall we turn thee to a Quibla that shall please thee. Turn
then thy face in the directions of the sacred mosque. (2:144)

So Allah's goal goal in telling Muslims to face the Kaaba, was
to please Muhammad. It's amazing how much of Islam is
dedicated to pleasing the man who was receiving the revelations.

Why would facing the Kaaba please Muhammad? Two reasons:

One~ he was sending the Jews a message: this is what you get for
rejecting me. Two~ Muhammad had grown up among pagans who
prayed facing the Kaaba and all its idols. So praying to the Kaaba
was normal for them; it felt right. But how could Muhammad justify
praying towards a pagan shrine?
Well, just a few verses earlier, (2:127)
Allah declared that the Kaaba was built by Abraham and Ishmael.

Now that's interesting. If it was built by Abraham and Ishmael, why
did Muslims spend more than a decade praying towards Jerusalem?
Why does it seem like Mohammed is inventing this as he goes along?

One of life's great mysteries!
(haha I know, right?)

But what evidence do we have that the Kaaba was built by Abraham and
Ishmael? Absolutely none apart from the fact that Muhammad said it.
That's good enough for Muslims, but it shouldn't be. Muhammad had
absolutely no clue what he was talking about, and I can prove it.

3366 narrated Abu Dhar
I said, oh Allah's messenger! Which mosque was first built on the
surface of the Earth? He said, at Makkah. I said, which was built
next? He replied, at Jerusalem. I said, what was the period of
construction between the two? He said, 40 years.

According to Muhammad, there was a 40-year gap between the
construction of the Kaaba and the temple in Jerusalem.

Why is this important? Well, we know when the Jerusalem Temple
was built; Solomon built it in the 10th century BC.

That's more than 1,000 years after Abraham. If Abraham built the
Kaaba, he built it more than a thousand years before Solomon built
the Jerusalem Temple. But Muhammad said they were built 40 years apart.

So we need to ask our Muslim friends, where did Abraham and Ishmael
get their time machine? Because if they didn't have a time machine,
Muhammad was wrong, and we can't trust what he says about the
construction of the Kaaba, and without Muhammad making up
stories about Abraham and Ishmael and the Kaaba, the only
evidence we have tells us that Muslims are bowing down to a
pagan temple and taking a pilgrimage to a pagan temple and
walking circles around a pagan temple.

By the way, why do Muslims walk circles around the Kaaba?
The pagans walked circles around the Kaaba, too.

Why did they do that?
This is about half the video transcribed.

Thank you for reading and/or listening... Part two to follow :)
