We've all heard of the prophesy about the sun turning to sackcloth (solar eclipse) and moon turning to blood. The moon won't really turn to blood, but it does appear red when there is a lunar eclipse.

We also know that God created the sun, MOON and stars for "signs and seasons". I came across this video and it was pretty interesting. Just 8 minutes. What do you think? Are the years 2014-2015 going to be a special?

The last few times these back-to-back years of red moons fell on passover was 1967 and 1949 (after statehood and the 6-Day War). Very important dates concerning Israel. I am wondering if God has something in store for Israel in 2014-2015.

The skeptics brush it aside. But if the Bible says that God made the Moon to demonstrate "signs," and given the last couple times this happened on important dates, maybe we should pay more attention to this. It appears to be more than just coincidence.

No, as there are quite a few 'signs' that need to be fulfilled first before '...The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood...', which occurs at the Lord's Second (NOT third) Coming and none of these signs have been fulfilled (completely). Matt chapter 24 had a partial fulfillment in 70 AD (by the Romans under Titus), but its complete fulfillment is at the 2nd Coming of Christ (when Antichrist and the False Prophet are consumed by the breath of His mouth and put into the Lake of Fire). Matt 24v1-51 (see 24v2), 2Thess 2v1-12, Rev 11v1,2, 19v20.

Based on what's being said in the video's it would something happening this year. Like Jb has said, I don't think every prophecy has been filled for the 2nd coming of Christ. If I'm right, the Ark of the Covenant still needs to return to Jerusalem And I don't remember if the Temple has to be rebuilt, before the Tribulation period comes. If that occurs, then yes, indeed the Blood moons are quite probably a sign, if not, well, I can't say, because, I've never really looked into this.

Radius never said it was a sign of the 2nd coming, just that it could be interesting for Israel. Also, it does appear that the blood moons happen AFTER a major event so like violakat said, it would be something happening this year. Interesting considering N. Korea upping its rhetoric about attacking US allies..... I think the next several years are going to be quite amazing for Israel and the USA.

The only real signficance that a blood moons has, is when it is accompanied by the sun turned into darkness which will not be caused by a natural phenomenon (but by a supernatural act of God) and occurs immediately before the second coming of Christ in glory, when every eye will see Him, every other occurance (of a blood red moon) has really no real spiritual/prophetic signifiance! :p

And you are 100% certain it will not be a natural phenomenon because. . . ?

Simply because if it was a natural phenomenon, it could not be a (divine) 'wonder' as Acts 2v19 states, 'I will show wonders in heaven above...' It is a supernatural act of God and so a 'wonder', and everybody upon earth will know so...even you sunshine, if you're still alive! :p

Yes, definitely, I believe something very significant will happen regarding Israel before the 2014 and 2015 Red Moon Tetrads. No one knows what that very significant event will be, but some speculate the possibility of the Third Temple, which does sound logical. 1948 - Israel became a state. 1967 - Jerusalem became the capital. 2013? Third Temple?

Seriously, I discovered these same coming Red Moon Tetrads in my own studying. I understood the probable significance better when I saw a teaching at testeverything.net. I believe in checking out everything that is stated for myself. I found on the NASA.gov site the Catalog of Lunar Eclipses and YES-- these are TOTAL and on Passover and Sukkot. On April 13, 1949 was Nisan 14 (Passover) and on Oct 7, 1949 was Feast of Tabernacles (Tishri 15). On April 2, 1950 Nisan 14/15? (Passover) and on Sept 26, 1950 was also Feast of Tabernacles (Tishri 15). In 1967 there was Two Total...one on April 24, 1967 on Nisan 14 (Passover) and on Oct 18, 1967 Feast of Tabernacles (Tishri15/16?). And then two more TOTAL in 1968 ...one on April 13, 1968 on Nisan 14 (Passover) and on Oct 6 Feast of Tabernacles (Tishri 15/16?). (I am using this Hebrew calendar for my dates....Hebrew Calendar (change roman date and hit enter to see other years.)

OK, that proves your video is absolutely correct. But did you know that there will also be two Total Solar Eclipses in 2015 and 2016? On March 20, 2015 (which is the first day of the first month of God's calendar...Nisan 1) and the other on March 9, 2016 (which is also the first day of the first month of God's calendar...Nisan 1).

Joe 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Scriptures of what happens ON the day of the Lord:

Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
Isa 13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
Isa 13:11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Mar 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Mar 13:25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

So...should we look for a "darkened" sun (not in darkness)? One upcoming example is a Partial Solar Eclipse that will occur on September 1, 2016. This is a peculiar date on God's calendar because there is more than one way to calculate God's calendar and much controversy. For those who believe in a conjunction New Moon (astronomical new moon - fully darkened) this date will be Feast of Trumpets. But, for those who believe in a sighted moon and the 19-year-cycle calendar of reckoning this will be in the 6th month and not the 7th.

Also it is interesting to note that in the Fall the stars appear to be falling as they hit the horizon. I don't know what the future holds, or when the Tribulation or Great Tribulation will begin, but I do lean heavily in believing the Word is literal, as in "BEFORE" the day of the Lord and "ON" the day of the Lord.

Many more prophetic signs must occur...so keep watching and "Understanding" (Knowledge will increase - Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.)

LOL. I saw that video and John Hagee said "The Israelites left Egypt on Sukkot". I have a hard time after that believing Hagee really understands the nation of Israel and the Jews when he got that WRONG!

False prophet = Muhmmad
antichrist = anyone who doesn't believe in Christ, thus anti.
The beast in Rev 19:20 is Islam!! The Leopard, Bear, Lion beast (LBL) in Rev 13 and beast is defined in Dan 7 as an empire. A religious empire. Bible says kings or kingdoms which are empires or nations. In this case Islamic nations (empires). Read the entire chapter of Rev 13 and see if Islam doesn't do all that stuff. You bet they do for that is what it is all about. Muhammad is the BEST false prophet I have ever seen!!! Been in business for almost 1500 years!!!

I have listened to several excellent talks and sermons regarding this over the past few years. It will be interesting to see what happens in Israel and Jerusalem, as this is more of a warning that will preceed a great period of trouble for the Jews. I cant remember exact numbers, but certainly in past 1000 years this has only happened a couple of times over Jerusalem and each time it co-incided with some horrendous acts against the Jews.

what prophecy enthusiasts keep calling a 'blood moon' is just a lunar eclipse...they happen pretty frequently...

Actually the vid says NOTHING.
It highlights pattersn in the sun (annual) and moon as the Bible says God puts there.

Might be hocum - might not be.
We will see.

What is absurd is people who think they know.

RachelBibleStudent I 'liked' your post but that was before I saw the vid. I still like it :) but it's not the whole picture
If this is about blood moons over Jerusalem then I think the comparative sparsity in a particular location makes this interesting. Not necessarily meaningful - but interesting.

There are those hear that think Jerusalem has no meaning in the NT. To them I'd point out
Acts 1:11-12 who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."
Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey.
Of course there are those that hate any connection with Israel and Christianity. They will love to doubt and endeavour to taint curiosity (this is nothing more) with hate - as they usually do :(

Though the red moons that have always landed on feast days do signify something major happening in Israel. There are still things yet needed to happen. The destruction of Damascus which could be right at the door now. Rev. 11:19 shows us that the Ark of the covenant is in heaven. That won't be returning. The 3rd temple has to be rebuilt for anti christ to sit in it to declare he's god. But these red moons over the next 2 yrs. are going to point or be the result of a major change in Israel. It could very well be the event that ushers in the 7 yr. deal from Daniel.
