Do people still anoint themselves or each other with oil? I just did it and the effect was immediately evident.
I felt my spirit being filled. try it you might like it.

I still do when i move into a new house. i believe in it. olive oil works.

May I ask what was YOUR spirit being filled with? Yes I do too truly believe in everything the Word of God say we ought to do, not just the things that will bring natural blessing, but the spiritual one more...

Our spirits do not get filled, it get a life with the Lord God, but because the Holy Spirit fills the soul.

Yeah, we do that all the time at church when somebody goes up for special prayer or for prayer for healing or deliverance. I've seen amazing things happen!

Catholics and Orthodox do it all the time. Generally at least once a month for anyone who wants it.

I am baptist and they would anoint for important times like struggle or something we would use it for instead of doing it just to get a blessing all the time for GOD gives the blessing

Yup its a catholic thing some habits dont go away like kissing my thumb and doing the trinity. =/

At my church during prayer time there is an invitation to be anointed with oil and prayed over. I was first in line for that last week for personal reasons.

I put holy oil everyday. Everyone should. We are the priest of God. We don't need to go to anyone to have them put oil on us. We can all do it. There are times we need someone else to help us in prayer and we can go to them to anoint us. The oil is basic101 teaching like faith.
