I sincerely hope you dont feel attacked by me in any way cause that was definitely not my intent. My intent was to give you what i felt is the best advise based on your postings in various threads where you are suffering in so many ways. I pray for our Heavenly Father to wrap his arms around you and give you comfort.
No, I mean attacked by demons. Not by people.

I've seen many of your post on here, wondering why you're not getting closer with God, receving certain gifts of the Spirit, and so on....maybe you're being held in bondage of playing games God wants you to give up, however you can't see that, because you're blinded by them. I'm not saying that's the issue, but that it COULD be. Also, I've noticed you tend to blame depression and things like that, and wonder why you can't be delivered from it....again, maybe those games are ''evil'' and keeping you from where you should be with God. Which depresses you and all. I understand you have disorders or and things, the depression and OCD or whatever it is you said....however, you can't blame those things for every single thing. I know many, many people that beat those things through faith in God alone. No meds at all. Keep the faith, keep fighting, and pray about it. Ask God if those games and other things are the issue, and if He wants you to give them up. God bless you.

Yeah, that's just it. It's a game, it's not real.
Hop scotch- tag-races-hide n go seek- those are games ever heard of any of those? When kids actually went out out used their bodies for movement. Twisting the mine for evil is not a game.

its a game designed to desensitize young children... so no it is not "JUST" a game. If it is inflicting violence and there is reaction to the violence it is not just a game, especially when marketed to very young players... honestly it desensitizes them to violence and its "no big deal" to see gory things that totally freak me out because i grew up in the 60's & 70's where Jaws was an extreme horror flick. Good choice to not allow her the game!!! pajama sam is a good game for little ones.
Thanks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

lol, looks like God doesn't have a problem doesn't have a problem with the games I play. He provided a way for me to get a game called Demon's Souls. BTW, to the people that said it was the spirit telling me not play them anymore. I was right it was my OCD screwing with me, not the Holy Spirit telling me not to play them. I just wish he'd provide me a way to get a girlfriend now...

It's not a laughing matter if you're so bothered by it, and I don't think God would say here I provided a way go get something that's against My word. The enemy aka satan will sometimes work in ways and provide things, so that you think it's God doing it. You must discern between the two. I think honestly, that the OCD and other things, is messing with you telling you that God doesn't have a problem with it. That's just an excuse to justify something that's being done wrongfully. *shrugs* but I won't judge, just saying that's what it sounds like....what I feel in my Spirit and Soul.

I think I forgot that to mention that as far as I can tell. God is gonna be using me to make games aimed at athiests to indirectly plant the seed in them. You know knowlege about God. By making games like Demon's Souls(Well More of a Japanese styled Action/RPG, than a Japanese version of an Amarican verson of an RPG) only with Christian undertones to hopefully make athiests and people like them think that maybe there is God while directing them to Christianity. With out them really knowing it. Anyway, I think God wants me to play Demon's Souls to influence what my own game will become so it can make a bigger impact in serving God.

this is similar to the Harry Potter thing:

depends how it affects you..

In itself a mythology game with demons and stuff.. like Diablo.. Baldur's Gate.. Never Winter Nights.. Warcraft games. etc.. these a just animation using computer programs that portray medievil stuff with spiritual overtones. It is not real.. it is fake.. no real demons or witchcraft in there.. just pixelated animation.

Same goes for Harry Potter.. it actors and digital animation.. not real.. all fake..

But .. a person who is sensitive to what these things portray.. may find it affects them... or someone may want to try and replicate what a demon or witch does and it becomes real for them..

So not evil in and of itself seeing as it is all fake.. but if someone takes it, treats it as real.. then it becomes destructive to them.

that is my opinion.. the bible also supports this in the case of meat offered to idols.. the meat isn't evil in and of itself.. you could eat it with no problems.. but if there are others who view the meat as actually evil.. and see you eat it... then you have offended them and done something destructive.. evil..

the only thing destructive or evil in and of itself is the real Satan and His minions and Hell..

I'm just wondering what other people since those are usually the types of video games I tend to play. I'm just curious what other people think. As for me, I don't think it's ever affected my faith. I mean, I've been playing video games since I was like 5 or 6 and they've never effect my faith, Actually I even started playing games like before I was A Christian. But I'm still growing as a Christian pretty fast, not as fast I'd like it too, but I'm still growing.

Gah, I hate making typoes in the main title of the topic...
Peace be to you
Please read the whole thing and think on it
I like online games.World of warcraft=This games quest line causes a person to break every single commandment of God.I actually quit it when the spirit kicked me at a quest I had to bow before one of there make believe gods to finish. It has the queen of heaven,Praizing false gods with incense.Gathering objects for these gods. This list of infractions against God is only equalled with isreal. Can you play the Game and not commit any sins against God.Possible

The real world has just as many false Gods,More sins against God,More evil

Skeleton armys raising from the dead is outa the bible.Fighting evil is out of the bible

Do not break the commandments for a Game.

I play Everquest 2,The game asks you to pick a diety(fake God) and you get some kinda bonus from it.Alot of people ask me what diety did you pick.I say my diety is way more powerfull that any other diety. It is God almighty the real God in heaven. Not some silly game god.

Do not take part in Sins against God even make believe.Do i think its wrong to become a magic class and fight evil in a make believe game.No.Jesus christ raised people from the dead, healed the sick, cast out demonds, walked on water, withered a tree, healed the blind.changed his appearance, defeated death, and many other things.

God must be first. If he says dont play the game for awail,You should listen its probly for your own good.

Love God ,Love your nieghber like you love yourself,Honor your mother and father,Stay away from idols follow these and you will be okay

I would stay away from most of it as it is not beneficial in any way and can only bring in demonic attacks

I remember having a huge addiction to world of warcraft for the longest time. It never bothered me to the slightest until I heard a Paul Washer sermon which I think was called the shocking youth sermon. After I watched it I remember feeling horrified at my sins, all of them. I still played wow for a bit after that but then I remember once thinking... is it ok to be playing my warlock character? (because I had one of those) and eventually my doubts leaked into should I even be playing this at all? One day I just stopped playing. A two year addiction playing every single day for hours on end. Gone. In one day. I find as time goes on it becomes harder and harder to play video games because of the slight unbiblical error. At first I tolerated large error but as time went on I found it harder and harder to tolerate even the smallest things. I think a verse that also influenced me was...
1Th 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
Not just a little appearance, all of it. Now even if you are playing games like those do I judge you or am I mad at you? No, not at all. My only recommendation to you above all is to press closer to the Lord, he alone will touch your heart and will remove any offences to his sight, trust in him and ask him to become your greatest joy. I'm still working on that myself but still trusting in him to do a work in me and eventually purge all that is offensive to him.

I guess it depends on the person and the games they play.

They only PC game I have been able to buy and play avidly is The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It's a first person RPG set in a fictional world. In the game, the king of the Empire has been killed by a secret cult and you have to deliver his amulet to his illegitimate son. Without an emperor, the Empire will fail and plunge into darkness at the hands of the forces of evil. There are also demon lords from another plane of existence trying to take over the realm, and they open up portals across the map that you have to go in to and shut down to stop their invasion.

There are several guilds you can join in the game. The mages guild teaches you the arts of magic, but using them for illegal activity (including murder and necromancy) is forbidden. The Fighters Guild trains warriors for hire who do missions for villagers who need goblins exterminated, or criminals brought to justice. There are also two other guilds that could be considered evil: the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood. The Thieves Guild teaches you how to steal and profit from it, and the Dark Brotherhood trains you to be a murderer and offers you a chance to become a Vampire.

Clearly, the last two guilds are evil, and in the game, if you are caught doing anything for these guilds you are punished and sent to jail. Other characters in the game react to your reputation which can be good or bad. Doing evil things in the game leads to almost everyone hating you. If you go to the temples and shrines in the game for healing, a message will appear saying that the gods disapprove of your evil ways and will not offer their healing until you have repented, ie, stopped killing, turn yourself in, and start to do good things in the game.

Is this game evil? I don't think so. It shows how you have to cooperate with good to live well, and the point is to save the Empire from the forces of evil in the world. Plus its really fun.

IM PRETTY SURE YOUNG MAN, GOD... DOES NOT WANT YOU PLAYING A GAME CALLED DEMON'S SOULS. Come on, you really need to give your head a shake. You are upset that you dont have the gift of tongues, that you dont feel close to God then you state that you think God wants you playing DEMONIC video games. You are deceived and you need the rebuke of your christian brothers and sisters on here who honestly want to see you prosper in your walk with the Lord. You diligently seek him in so many ways but then you justify this in your mind as being blessed by God. Stop doing that. Yes perhaps God does want a video game thats based on biblical truth. NOTE: pray pray pray for his guidance in this and try to make it TRUE to the word of God. No worries about it being boring cause just read your Bible, its full of ACTION!!! Also, before distribution have it reviewed by your Pastor & a couple of others to verify its acceptable in the eyes of the Lord. I really do pray that you will see Gods will for your life. God Bless you.

For Imoss: I agree lol...

For dothackzero: Maybe you don't have the gift of speaking in tongues due to playing those games, or maybe because it's not one God has planned for you at this time...if at all... The games aren't what's doing it, it's the theme behind them. I much rather be out there using my time to help those being attacked spiritually by a demon or whatever evil/dark/spiritual thing out there by beating it with prayer and faith.

Just a suggestion, if you believe in fasting(hopefully you do) try a fast from those games, see what happens. I bet you'll see a major difference in all areas of life. Also, if your mom or anyone gets ''Woman's Day'' magazines, I suggest you read something in it..I know ''that's a woman's thing'' well it has health stuff in if about depression and all that stuff. Very GREAT thing in there about the chemicals in the brain and body...how to make them work properly, by natural things...exercise, many different ways...and without medication. Not to mention how horrible medications/antibiotics are on the body.

For MightyLionOfJuda: I couldn't agree more. I say this because I know many people, my closest friend of all who was drawn into that stuff so deeply, addicted to it...ruined his life....for so long, but then when he finally gave it up, things got better...so much better for him.

Really, only God knows that answer if that's why I don't have the gift of tounges yet.

I do believe in fasting. I actually gave up non-christian metal for week a couple weeks back, and one of friends noticed I was clamer. He thinks it was not listening to the metal. But I think God told it was just that I was spending more time with him that I was clamer. Anyway, I just been playing a game doesn't have any magic, demons, or any gods for over a week and I still didn't notice a diffrence from when I am playing a game like that. Btw, even when I did stop playing games for a week or more by choice and since there wasn't anything for me to play, it didn't change anything either.

Well then something isn't right. There should be a major change. Oh well, you do whatever you want...you will anyways...all we can do is pray.
