Just mulling over a few posts I made and wondered of my intent behind those posts and if they were in accord with The Word or better yet God himself and as I was mulling over I fliipped right to the beginning of my Bible and on the very front page was a dedication and presentation date on it I haven't noticed in years it says"To Dale with Love Mom Christmas '96" I Love my Mom:D

Below that was this

Psalm 27

1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
5For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
6And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
7Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
9Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
10When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
11Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
12Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
13I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Ja, mein Deutsch ist ein wenig rostig aber!

What is Solite? I am not familiar with this word it sounds french.

Par les vous les Francais? oder einfach nur Deutsch? o forse il linguaggio dell'amore, se si preferisce? English works well too:)

yeah you got me beat on the language department. as my friends and I joke, we can speak all dialects of English and bad english. I only know a scattered few phrases in any other language. a side of my education that is sorely lacking. when i get the chance i would love to remedy it ;) though from the looks of it I probably should learn Spanish and Chinese before long.

I only know a little spanish from a guy who was an exchange student in my high school (but only a phrase you might use in a red light district)(I was 16 gimme a break) and a chinese friend of mine has taught me some basic Mandarin but I wouldn't want to try and get by on either.

My grandfather was fluent in 6 or 7 languages English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Micmac and I think Cree (one of the benefits growing up in Canada in his day). He was a second world war vet 1939-1945 one of very few men to recieve the '39-45 star for his service overseas.(most that joined in '39 didn't survive the whole 6 year tour) He told my mom that when they weren't busy doing whatever his CO's would drill them on foreign enemy and allied languages for better communication between them and the enemy or their allies on the field. As well before he went overseas he could already speak English French and Micmac a native indian tongue from New Brunswick Canada. I guess I just kinda picked up where he left off because my mother can only speak English and some French and my Dad only spoke English period.

I think the ability to learn and speak different languages are great (praying God helps me learn a few) and it helps when you meet someone from overseas to at least try and communicate in their language. :) I think it is enduring and builds and shows respect for others and that you care enough to try and learn more about their country. instead of demanding everyone accommodate you in your language, you can help make them feel more comfortable by extending a kind word or greeting.

have you studied other cultures and how most Americans and some Westerners are considered rude because they just get down to business without conversing about family, etc.

its awesome your granddad's CO cared enough to have all his soliders learn so many languages

This Psalm was written by David, and if we look at what Jesus prayed to Father, in John 17, we see that Jesus asked the Father to actually do exactly this for us, IF WE BELIEVE!
This is all we ever could want from God. How glorious will it be to LIVE IN HIS LIGHT all the days of my life? Only in His light, and NO MORE DARKNES! And then just for wanting this, is evil, hypocracy and even FALSE in osme people's eyes. Why I do not know. All I want from God is to do to me what Jesus asked Him to do to me. And I do not care, I really do not care what tnat cost me. God said go sit and do the sums, like you do before you build a tower... See if you can afford to build it first. For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

Well I did, it is going to cost me to lay down ALL my old pleasures. WoW! Even some of my family? What if my family do not want to come visit me no more? I am too weird they say! You have no "fun" they say. You used to get drunk and tell jokes with us and your parties were always great fun, why now do you not like us having a blast at your house?

A small price to pay! And if your grown up daughters hate you for not letting them wear slacks and t-shirts. Not wearing costumes on the beach, and not going to nght-clubs, then it is also a small price to pay. Why am I so wrong to still see virginity as a gift of God to your husband to be. I know FEW people marry as virgins today, but I hopw to teach my children the sacretness of sharing with a person, what God calls His Bride! A VIRGIN.

Oh and if we are different than the rest of the World, why are we wrong? Is it not the World that is wrong... Bbut hey in a democracy where the majority rules... anything goes - right? NOPE the biggest seperation of wrong and right will come, and by FAR the minority will be right! God will come for the ONE BRIDE that walked in His light, no matter what the cost!

May the Lord give me strength, to walk His WAY like Jesus did! And I know it is not like the World walks, but then I had enough of this World and what he offers.... Only death and evil... So World please release me and let me go. Sir Tom Jones.... hahaha please release me, I am going to God!
