Is there any bible versions where the ordering of the books and numbering has been corrected?

The numbering of the verses/chapters was done haphazardly and in some cases is quite wrong, this is clear when you try and compare the Greek and Hebrew etc. Sentences are split up where they shouldnt be etc etc.

The ordering of the books is messed up too. The first book of the bible should start with God's love for mankind (such as it says in 1 John) and go from there. The parts about the origins of man in Genesis should be in the appendix.

It's hard enough telling a new believer to "read the bible" and gets them all confused when they can't start in Genesis but need to start in a simple Gospel like Mark or John for example.

Suggest that Mark or 1 John would be a better choice for the first book of the bible. ("in the beginning was the Word...") So that the bible ordering lines up better with the four spiritual laws or other similar evangelism or Gospel tools.

I figure the Bible is the way it is for a good reason. I don't see anything wrong with the creation narrative being at the beginning of the Bible, since it was the first thing to ever happen. There are a lot of things in Genesis that forshadow the coming of Christ which are illuminated by the NT. You can't have one without the other.

When we start rearranging the Bible, we start rearranging our theology. That becomes dangerous. I don't see anything wrong with telling someone "Read John first, then read Genesis" and so on though, but I wouldnt restructure the entire Bible. It's worked pretty well like that for about 2000 years.

I have noticed some minor changes from one bible to another. The ones that are the most obvious are when parts are left out compleatly. I have always belived that Our Lord God honors those that follow his word even if there are changes. I believe he will hold to task those that change his word or go away compleatly because thry think all is wrong. So I keep my hope in Jesus, his word and spirit. I know that by this God will honor all his promises. God bless, pickles

I've always wondered why the books weren't at least in chronological order from when they were written. In any event, bibles should have more pictures in them.

what is really important is the contents of the Bible. All we need to know is in there... the order of contents shouldn realy be a problem. As you read the word more and understand it more , you will be able to connect the events and perceive things more clearly.

Suaso demonstrates a major misconception that most christians have. the bible as it is known today has not existed for 2000 years. and has been rearranged, added to and taken away from, many times.

I don't see any problem with the order, particulaly Genesis being first. God declared the end from the begining, and in Genesis 1:1-3 he declares what the end of creation should benefit and that is the light. That light is Jesus Christ, who was declared before the foundation of the earth. God looked upon the void and formless waters and said let there be light! What better first message to read than that God before he created the sun, moon and stars in later days, first declared that light would be in this world.
Eph 1: 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Though Cronologicaly if Job was first Job has alot to say about the condition of man and their need of a mediator.
Love isn't God's Cheif attribute anyways: holiness is. How is his wrath just if it isn't holy wrath, how can we know his love if it isn't holy love?

I know it hasn't been around in it's current form for 2000 years. I was trying to avoid the "Catholics screwed up the Bible" debate that usually comes when I try to defend the way the Bible is. That's just me being passive.
