A conversation.
Right.
Like when people have a conversation with a dead person.

The point is that Moses and Elijah were dead.
And Jesus was talking to them.
Jesus is a God, he can talk to any body, but we are human, God prohibit us to talk to the death.

no body able to Cheat Jesus, but It is easy for the devil to cheat us.

Jesus know If the devil pretend to be Mary, we do not know, to distinguish whether Mary or Devil, we know because the Bible say not to talk to the death,

Elihah has not died yet and Moses was in heaven..Not dead.
This conversation is stopping right now.

If Moses was not dead
And we're not dead

What's the difference?

Dead just means we're not in THIS world anymore.
Semantics.

Just like Mary was elevated to Co-Redemptrix, Peter was elevated to be the first Pope of Rome (so now we have a Vicar of Christ). Were both of them to return to earth, there would be a throrough purging of the Vatican and all its corruption.
Ahhh ok,now I understand what you mean.

Hi Irisu,
Yes, a Christian can ask the Blessed Mother to pray for them. One may say that she died and can hear us no more but I would argue, from the Bible, that that is not true. Scripture states that God "is the God of the living and not of the dead." It further states, "Oh death where is your victory, oh death where is your sting." Whether we are in Heaven or on Earth we are still part of the Mystical Body of Christ, the Church. Just as we ask others, here on earth, to pray for us then it is legitimate to ask our brothers and sisters in Heaven to pray for us.

Blessings.
Overheard two young boys sharing the gospel. One talked about Jesus dying on the cross to save us from sin, how much he loved us, Then he stated to his cousin (catholic), one day at his house, he picked up an idol of Mary, after turning it upside down, the label read “made in China”
He told his cousin, Jesus is from heaven, pray to Jesus.
The scriptures state: John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
And the reason being: Philippians 2:6-11 who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider it robbery to be equal with God, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross. Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Hello everyone,
I have a question about prayers. Can a Christian pray Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, or should we address our prayer only to God?
I'm a protestant but... I'm pretty attached to Mary, she's like a mother for Christians and I feel weird since I've stopped praying her. That's why I'm confused.

Thanks for your attention ^-^
Christians should only pray to God.. praying to mary is an attempt to contact the dead so it is like taking part in a seance.. And praying to anyone other then God is an abomination..

There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.
(Deu 18:10-11)

No pray to God, that whole concoction stems from Catholic believing Mary was compassionate about the folks at the wedding in Cana, going to Jesus and asking him to preform a miracle basically. rubbish the wedding was Mary's daughter, Jesus sister's wedding. Mary wanted the reception to go smoothly it was more of worldly view, for Jesus says woman why are you concerning me with this.

Mary is DEAD. She CANNOT hear nor answer prayers. We are to pray to Jesus/God ONLY.. Mary is not our mediator. You need to get yourself unattached to praying to Mary.

Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?” So they were offended at Him.

Mary is NOT "a mother for Christians". We only need a Father. :)

I never heard this.
Mary's parents are mentioned in some post Apostolic writings.

Where does it talk about Joanna?

I have every apocryphal book at home.
I can't remember ever reading about this.

Thanks.

I believe God know Devil able to pretend to be the death, and devil is liar. If we pray to Mary, devil pretend to be Mary and grant our petition

devil have power to do almost anything. Being life in rural, among pagan, I heard a Lot of miracle from the devil.

I give another link how powerful the devil is, so you know why pray to Mary may bring a miracle.
