Sorry, wasnt jabbing at them, just pointing out that if ppl are praying to or relying on them for salvation thheyy have completely missed who Jesus is and what He did for us on the cross. Its all Jesus and onlyJesus, or no salvation.

And I agree. I don't rely on them for Salvation. I also read the bible as well as the writings of the Saints and their focus is always Jesus Christ just as is mine. There are a few things in your lenghty statement that I question, but nothing serious enough to debate over.

Why would it be bad to rely on other believers for salvation?

Relying on other believers? It was Jesus who left heaven, came to earth, lived as a man, without sinning no less, was beaten and crucified and died for YOUR sins, and you ask why its bad to rely on someone or ANYone else to save you? Maybe tell God the Father that His Son paying for your sin wasnt good enough. Truly, though, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, He still loves you, even though you havent received Him alone as your Saviour. Every knee shall bow to Him, and there is no other name under heaven whereby we MUST be saved. I pray you accept Him soon, for your sake and His glory, and for His sake and your future glorification as well.

The Bible teaches that salvation is something that comes freely and in its entirety to any individual who places genuine trust in Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins. The Bible teaches that salvation is a free gift, by grace through faith alone, entirely apart from personal merit or works of righteousness. The Bible teaches that all sins are forgiven , past, present, and future, upon putting saving Faith in Jesus Christ.

John 3:16
[SUP]16 [/SUP] For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Colossians 2:13
[SUP]13 [/SUP] And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses

Psalm 85:2
[SUP]2 [/SUP] You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people; You have covered all their sin.

Acts 10:43
[SUP]43 [/SUP] To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins."

Ephesians 1:7
[SUP]7 [/SUP] In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Ephesians 2:8-9
[SUP]8 [/SUP] For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
[SUP]9 [/SUP] not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Hebrews 7:25
[SUP]25 [/SUP] Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Hebrews 9:12
[SUP]12 [/SUP] Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

Hebrews 10:12
[SUP]12 [/SUP] But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God

Hebrews 10:14-15
[SUP]14 [/SUP] For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before

Hebrews 10:17
[SUP]17 [/SUP] then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."

1 John 5:13
[SUP]13 [/SUP] These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

John 6:47
[SUP]47 [/SUP] Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

I thought I answered your question when I said Islam. Islam is from Ishmael and NOT from Isaac. Islam follows the devil and ,imo, will set up the one world religious system for the devil. Does that satisfy you because I'm getting tired of this question

True faith perseveres.

If your faith does not persevere, it was counterfeit faith, which your apostasy proves (1Jn 2:19; Lk 8:13).

My apostacy? I have true faith and Jesus in my heart. Just because we have doctrine differences doesn't mean I'm in apostacy. There are those in my Church that believe the apostacy spoken of in Jude started with Martin Luther

My use of "you" was generic, not personal.

yes if you read rehtul nitram backwards it spells Martin Luther. I'm sure they put that in their Greek Bibles somewhere LOL I can understand those in your church believing ANYTHING lol they are experts at manipulating evidence.

Valiant, it is not Church doctrine, just something I read about. My mind leans toward the apostacy being a complete rejection of God

why do you all keep attacking Martin Luther? I don't agree with all he taught but he was certainly genuine. and there is no doubt that he believed in Jesus Christ unto salvation.

Hebrews 6:4-6
[SUP]4 [/SUP] For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,
[SUP]5 [/SUP] and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,
[SUP]6 [/SUP] if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Mwc68, if a person stops believing in Jesus Christ then that person has lost their salvation and it is impossible for then to ever receive salvation again.

Once lost always lost.

You can lose your salvation but I would not advise anyone to lose their salvation because they will never receive it again.

I think it would take a lot of effort and a lot of sinning to really lose one's salvation. This is just my opinion of how a person can lose their Faith in Jesus Christ. But once you have lost your Faith in Him you have lost your salvation forever. I think this is what happened to Judas.

I do not follow Martin Luther, now John Calvin and the others is a different story. They picked up where Martin Luther dropped the ball. Mind you this is only my opinion of Martin Luther.

1 John 2:19 is the same as Matthew 7:21

1 John 2:19
[SUP]19 [/SUP] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

Matthew 7:21-23
[SUP]21 [/SUP] "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
[SUP]22 [/SUP] Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
[SUP]23 [/SUP] And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

This is only my opinion but i believe these two passages are talking about the same thing.
