'The Lord told us how to love him and our neighbors ?
It's keeping the commandments'

If His Love is merely keeping the commandments; why did he forgive
the woman caught in the very act of adultery? - (She didn't keep His commandments)
Because the did not bring the other guilty party up. She knew she was guilty and the guilty was accusing the guilty of sin

John 8:7,10-11 (KJV)
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. [10] When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? [11] She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

But look what The Lord said tithe woman

Sin no more

Why would The Lord tell here no to sin no more

It can be done if The Lord can give this to a person even a woman who commits adultery

Tell me Rick which one of these commands kills

Exodus 20:1,3-5,7-8,12-17 (KJV)

And God spake all these words, saying,

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain;

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Honour thy father and thy mother:

Thou shalt not kill.

Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Thou shalt not steal.

Thou shalt not bear false witness

Thou shalt not covet

Which one of these kills?

None.
I didn't say it, Paul under the influence of the Holy Spirit did - "The letter killeth, the Spirit giveth life"
Do you know why the letter of the commandment kills?
Hazard a guess Ozell.
It is because no one ever kept it....so it alone CONDEMNED them.
(And them is each and every one of us)
But the Spirit gives life!!!!
(How)
He indwells those who are His .......so they find killing abhorrent.
And if they lust, it bothers them, and if they should covet, that bothers them too.
And if they disrespect their parents - they can't sleep.
And if they dishonor their Lord they really feel bad.
Infact what happened is the Holy Spirit wrote the commandments that were inscribed on
tablets of stone on their very hearts!
This is the difference between laws written on stone(as schoolwork); and the law(mind) of God written
on ones heart.

Wait a minute........that is not a requirement of the law.
Both parties to adultery don't have to be brought up at the same time.
You are mistaken there. - (See that you know the law Ozell;......for it is mighty to save)

Rick

If you broke the commandments what is suppose to happen even today it is written in the NT.
Even under the new Covenant

Lets read

So in both testaments the breaking of the commandments is death

Romans 6:23 (KJV)
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The first death and maybe the second death

John 8:3-11 (KJV)
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, [4] They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. [5] Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? [6] This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not . [7] So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. [8] And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. [9] And they which heard it , being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. [10] When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? [11] She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Lets read the law written by Moses

Leviticus 20:10 (KJV)
And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

Holy Smokes Ozell! You missed the whole point of the verse!!!

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

What else do you want me to say? - Isn't that clear enough for you!?!

That another subject for another time
Show me in the word of God where God takes us to heaven

Read this brother

John 3:13 (KJV)
And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Who told you that we go to heaven?

Jesus and the Fathers kingdoms are coming to earth

No I didn't brother, I knew this wa your next question or comment

Watch this brother

First death is because of sin
Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Second death is because of sin

Revelation 20:6,12-15 (KJV)
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. [12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. [13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. [14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

How do we get eternal life brother Rick

Lets read it from the God own mouth

Matthew 19:16-21 (KJV)
And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? [17] And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is , God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. [18] He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, [19] Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [20] The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? [21] Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

Wait a minute......it doesn't say at the same time.
It doesn't say - "shall be put to death on the same day";
it just says 'Shall be put to death'.
It doesn't prescribe a certain day.
Just as you said there is no certain day to celebrate the birth of Christ(in the law); so that very law
you hold so dear doesn't say both parties to adultery are to be tried the same day.
In this assumption you are WRONG!
..................Just as wrong as those who YOU accused of ASSUMING the day of Christ's birth!
Read it and weep.
Don't be so quick to judge others, and maybe God's word won't be so quick to find you out......

Speak no more to me of law. Not until you know it.

I noticed that previously but this seems to be a dialog of the deaf here. It is clear Ozell does not hear when others reason with him. He has been given a doctrinal course, and there is no manner of hearing anything else for him. He proves it by asking the same questions over and over without giving any heed whatsoever to the replies.

It does not say anywhere in the Law that both adulterers must be present, only they both are to be stoned to death. Do not add or take away from the Word of Yahweh is also a LAW, Ozell, and those who truly know Yeshua, Jesus, would never dream of doing either.

The very law you hold too has been your undoing!
You said both parties to adultery are to be tried the same day.
But in the Law of Moses it says nothing of the sort.
You accused others of holding a certain day sacred but you trespassed the Holy Writ by tour own
assumption!

Bam!

Read 'em and weep Ozell.

Why did you assume Ozell?
What nefarious force caused you to act against the very word of God?
By putting words, and days into His mouth?

Who will ascend the Holy Mountain?

(Certainly not the presumptive)

Is obeying the law and keeping commandments enough for man to be with God?

Of course, but only Jesus, Yeshua, was capable of doing this.

We do follow the laws of good conduct by nature after having truly yielded to the saving grace of the Blood of Yahweh's Lamb, however, not being perfect we do slip now and then, and when we do, we have the One Mediator between man and the Father, Jesus!

The Father sees Him in our hearts and by His Blood passes over our misdeeds.

It would be if 'man' could do it.
The point is no one has.......except Jesus.
So this is why I cleave to Him.
Because He not only lived a perfect life-(performed all the duties of the law), but also
gave that same perfect life for me.
What a savior!
What a perfect being to be in love with!
How His love ever rests on His own!
What perfect oneness with our maker!
How I love Him so!

C'mon Ozell don't give up now,
pull out some more word to prove your point.
Don't let one 'harmless' setback stop you from your purposes.
C'mon man, shoot back.

Well in all fairness, he did start the thread.
