Romans 5:8-9 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through Him.

He did this when we were still sinners. How much MORE when you have been cleansed by Jesus blood and made righteous! Having received His righteousness, you are righteous forever. Even when you fall into sin, your sins don't make you a sinner again. We live under a new covenant. There is nothing un biblical about that Angela.

"For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace" When we sin, we are convicted of our righteousness in Christ and our minds are renewed in that truth. Many Christians think repentance is beating yourself up and crying putting on sackcloth and ashes...sorrow does not equal transformation Angela, it is right believing (a change of mind) that is true repentance. It's not our emotional reactions, it's a change of mind that changes our lives. The Bible tells us to have our minds renewed daily. Nothing evil about that, nothing twisted or false about that. You have a pre conceived notion about much of the teaching about Grace.

What do you call someone who lies?
a liar.

what do you call someone who saves?
a savior.

what do you call someone who sins?

There are people on this thread that have been here long enough to know what is going. All we are trying to do is to get one at least to supply scriptural support for what they are sayinginstead of just spouting the sam old rhetoric.
Well you will be waiting a long time then. People have been bathing you in scripture.

One must abide in the word to know the word, even if it is not copied and pasted verbatim from Bible gateway

You actually posted a verse that pertains to the wolves in sheeps clothing. They act as if they have a special gift of the Holy Spirit, boasting of great deeds and miracles, yet when they are put to the test the Holy Spirit is shown not to be in them. Just as Christ said in Matthew 24:24:

For false christs and false prophets will rise up and perform great signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

How do i know they false prophets are pseudochristos? By testing their words against scripture as the bereans did:

The brothers[b] immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue.11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

These false prophets have failed their litmus test.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them.

I see the problem is you don't know who you are in Christ. ( I did not for a very long time) If you have accepted Jesus as your Savoir., You have the gift of righteousness and are now a son. The old covenant is all about you and how you perform. The new covenant of grace is all about Jesus. The law places the demand on you to perform and makes you self-conscience whereas -grace places the demand on Jesus and makes you Jesus-conscience. That is the difference. You are now under grace and no longer a lost sinner but a saved son because of Jesus. Your identity is found in Christ now. "For sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under law but under grace"

We are to keep turning from ourselves and look to Jesus. God's Word says that "we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord"

When a Christian starts believing that they are the righteousness of Christ, they will start to live righteously. Everything they do will stem from the awareness of their righteous identity in Christ. If you don't know who you are IN Christ you will say you are still a sinner. Our sins have been forgiven and put on Christ. When we begin to take that to heart, then we really begin to change inside and out.

Romans 6.1-14

6 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? [SUP]2 [/SUP]By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? [SUP]3 [/SUP]Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? [SUP]4 [/SUP]We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. [SUP]6 [/SUP]We know that our old self[SUP][a][/SUP] was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. [SUP]7 [/SUP]For one who has died has been set free[SUP][b][/SUP] from sin. [SUP]8 [/SUP]Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. [SUP]9 [/SUP]We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. [SUP]10 [/SUP]For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. [SUP]11 [/SUP]So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. [SUP]14 [/SUP]For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.

Eddie Lee Long

Eddie Long and Ludacris

In a write up about Bishop Long and Friends, the site NuthinButGospel.com informs it's readers that Bishop Long was "No stranger to the music industry".

He
"... was featured on rapper Ludacris' album "Release Therapy." He appeared on the final track "Freedom of Preach" where he delivered a speech about God and faith.

Release Therapy won the Best Rap Album award for the 2007 Grammy Awards and is said to feature a departure of the lighthearted mood of Ludacris' previous albums, and introduces a darker side.

Now that's a scary thought, considering that Ludacris, who some consider more vile than Eminem, (is that even possible?) was a featured representative of Pepsi until, on August 27, 2002, Bill O'Reilly called for all Americans to boycott Pepsi products, saying that Ludacris' lyrics glamorize a "life of guns, violence, drugs and disrespect of women". O'Reilly wasn't exactly joking as the lyrics of Ludacris' 2001 "Move *****" show.. (And believe me, the small portion of the lyrics I have quoted are tame, compared to what follows)

I'm doin' a hundred on the highway, So if you do the speed limit, get the F... outta my way

I'm D.U.I., hardly ever caught sober, and you about to get ran the F... over

And that people, is the kind of man that our modern day, pathetic apologies for ‘Christian’ ministers, ‘make music’ and associate with.

What is really mind-boggling are the following two lines on this tract, both by Ludacris
I know some folks may not agree or even like this song, But I'm just speakin MY truth, cause I heard it sets you free
“He resides, in me (yeah)”.

The Sex Scandal

Since this is an article on "lifestyles" of the Tele-evangelists, I guess the following summary from Wikipedia is not out of place.

On September 21 and 22, 2010, Maurice Robinson, Anthony Flagg, and Jamal Parris filed separate lawsuits in DeKalb County Superior Court alleging that Long used his pastoral influence to coerce them into a sexual relationship with him. Flagg's suit says that Long presided over a spiritual "covenant" ceremony between the two of them.

"It was essentially a marriage ceremony, with candles, exchange of jewelry, and biblical quotes," Bernstein said Tuesday. "The bishop [told] him I will always have your back and you will always have mine."

Robinson's suit alleges that "Defendant Long would use Holy Scripture to discuss and justify the intimate relationship between himself and Plaintiff Robinson." [72]

The third suit was filed in DeKalb County Superior Court, said a spokeswoman for attorney B.J. Bernstein. [73]

On September 24, Spencer LeGrande, a member of a New Birth satellite church in Charlotte, North Carolina, filed a similar suit, making him the fourth man to file a lawsuit claiming sexual misconduct by Long. The complaint, filed in DeKalb State Court, comes after three other men filed lawsuits on Tuesday and Wednesday saying they were 17- and 18-year-old members of the church when they say Long abused his spiritual authority to seduce them with cars, money, clothes, jewelry, international trips and access to celebrities. Its a waste to argue with her. She is brainwashed or indoctrinated or something equivalent. The cult-like attitude and worship of her idols as well as the complete lack of sound biblical doctrine Shows her and her false teacher/idol's source of salvation. A false god they created and a narcissistic focus on self. It is clear they are just another set of false teachers and she is one of the deceived.

Matthew 24:24
For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.

2 Peter 3:3
3 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come jin the last days with scoffing, kfollowing their own sinful desires.

Jude 17-18

17 But you must tremember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. 18 They6 said to you, u“In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.”

1 John 4:1-6
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them.

Romans 16:18
For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

2 corinthians 11:1-15

11 I wish you would bear with me in a little foolishness. Do bear with me! 2 For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. 3 But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough. 5 Indeed, I consider that I am not in the least inferior to these super-apostles.6 Even if I am unskilled in speaking, I am not so in knowledge; indeed, in every way we have made this plain to you in all things.
7 Or did I commit a sin in humbling myself so that you might be exalted, because I preached God's gospel to you free of charge? 8 I robbed other churches by accepting support from them in order to serve you. 9 And when I was with you and was in need, I did not burden anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my need. So I refrained and will refrain from burdening you in any way. 10 As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine will not be silenced in the regions of Achaia. 11 And why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!
12 And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

2 tim 4:1-5
4 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound[a] teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. 5 As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

She isnt willing to quote the bible because it so clearly calls out her idols as false teachers and it calls her out as the deceived. Of this post gets me banned, i accept my ban willingly because the truth needs to be said.

It's always the brainwashed who enjoy calling others brainwashed. That's not me! I know Jesus, and I am filled with Holy Spirit, and can discern truth well.

Take your long and arduous preaching and preach it to yourself.

I see a trend here on this thread and others.

I see more Bible verses being used by the defenders than the hit squads.

The hit squad has only posted out of date you tube vids and CARM docs and the opinions of other hit squad folks, who they closely align with theologically and doctrinally that tickle their ears. If the hit squad does post a verse or 2 it is usually out of context or a cherry picked single verse they learned while their hit squad pastor was giving them the weekly 3 point sermonette for christianettes.

It could be possible they learned the verse in the weekly fill in the blanks notes provided to them on their weekly bulletin, or through the fill in the blank Sunday School or Wed night discipleship class, while munching on diet cookies and skim milk.

One thing is for certain, if a defender corrects them from using a verse like I did with JesusisALL and his use of 2 John 1.10, which has no application for testing a false teacher, only a gnostic with the spirit of antichrist. That correction is ignored and then a cute phrase is posted in response like, "post something of value and I will respond" or "I do not need to read your lame reply"

The Hit squad then as to rely on posting cute pics and then break their arms off patting each other on the back for being such true defenders of the faith. The hit squad then mock the defenders for being such fools, and profess themselves to be so wise, because in their carnal wisdom they know who is a false profit.

They boast of the gift of Bible knowledge they have think they have. They must resort to attacks, tirades and cute comments, because at the end of the day it is all they got, because they do not have the Word hidden in their heart. To keep up appearance of being in the Word they lash out all the more, when confronted by a defender that goes deeper in the Word.

The Bible says out of the abundance of the heart , the mouth speaks and speak whatever is truly in the heart.

The Bible also says the this about the hit squad:
Like clouds and wind without rain
Is a man who boastsof his gifts falsely.

Most would stop right there and begin to ignore the hit squad, but I see another trend.

The defenders attempting to speak life into the hit squad. Who deep down and in places they do not disclose to others, that place where pain, frustration, anger, hurt, offense and bitterness reside. That place where the hit squad is questioning: why is there not more to this walk, why is there no victory, why is it so hard to perform this walk for Jesus, how come I am doing everything I am told to in the Bible and I see no fruit manifest. The Word of Life cannot compute to the hit squad and pride of life chokes out the attempt.

The conclusion to this trend is this:

The hit squad's christian walk is a product of what they do.

The defenders walk with Jesus is a product of what they believe.

Being a son and daughter of God is not based on what you do, it is based entirely on what you believe. Belief is either influenced by those around you or by standing alone and not staggering/waiving or being influenced by others on the promises of God, through his Word.

If you hang with other believers that state they are just a poor sinner saved by grace, then you will believe you are a sinner saved by grace.

If you hang with Jesus and his Word says you were made righteous through HIM, then you will believe your are righteous before a Holy God.

If you hang with believers that pet any condition you are in or worse tell you that condition is God's best for you right now, and just be quiet and accept it, you will remain in that condition.

If you believe the Word, and do what blind Bartimaeus did and will not be silenced/influenced by others and you will be heard by the great physician when he passes by and he will answer you and you will be delivered of the condition.

I am not a defender of Joyce, Creflo, Paula, Benny, Ken & Gloria.

I am a defender of God's word and if he said it, that settles it.
Well said!

How do you get around the verse i posted. The Bible clearly says you are decieving yourself with this false doctrine.

As for one side not posting Bible verses, I am still waiting for Nancy to post a verse that has the "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" in it. Of course, she won't because it is not in the Bible. If you want to complain about someone not posting verses, she would be the one to complain about, since we literally begged her to produce Scriptural evidence for her doctrine for pages. Another person, from the WoF movement posted lots of Scriptures to support his doctrine. Sadly, many were torn out of context, but I give him kudos for trying!
Of course the instruction about submitting to the baptism of the Holy Spirit is scriptural!

Acts 10:47
“Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?

Acts 11:16
Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

I may add also one excellent example of the subsequent baptism of the Holy spirit as described in:

Acts 19:1-7
While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior regions until he reached Ephesus, on the coast, where he found several believers. [SUP]2 [/SUP]“Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” he asked them.“No,” they replied, “we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
[SUP]3 [/SUP]“Then what baptism did you experience?” he asked.
And they replied, “The baptism of John.”
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Paul said, “John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.”
[SUP]5 [/SUP]As soon as they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. [SUP]6 [/SUP]Then when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in other tongues and prophesied. [SUP]7 [/SUP]There were about twelve men in all.

You posted Bible verses we both agree on, but have not answered the verse in question. Either you are a sinner in need of the saving grace of Christ, or you are saying that Christ lied and that the Bible is false when it states ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

And what do you call God who calls us righteous?

A liar.

By saying you arent a sinner you no longer are repentant of your sins if you ever were. In order to be repentant you must acknowledge you are a sinner, that you sin and ask for forgiveness of those sins.

Why not just say you believe in moral relativity, instead of trying to sugar coat it or trying to camouflage it as a form of christian doctrine, which it is not, it is a tenant of secular humanism.

Interpretive difference would imply using the application of the Word to support your position. Posting verses to support who you are is not belief or supporting a difference of opinion in doctrine.

I never said anyone is more holy than another, if this pricks your heart, makes you mad, tips over your apple cart, then it means you need to perform a heart inventory and ask yourself a few things

1. While there may be one perfect interpretation or understanding of scripture none of us has it.

For NOW we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall understand fully, even as I have been fully understood. (1 Cor 13:12 RSV)

2. I find it interesting that you would claim to know what I believe when you don't even know me, nor have you adequately inquired.

Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil, and do good; see peace, and pursue it. (Psalm 34:12-14 RSV)

3. My words were a reminder to everyone (including myself) that we are engaging in this discussion with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. While we may fervently debate an ISSUE, we should avoid personal insults and deliberately mean words spoken only to score points of another person without gaining any meaningful understanding of the issue.

I do not find a calling for kindness to be too lofty a goal for people who all desperately need a savior and who have claimed Christ as their own.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God and he who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God; for God is love. (I John 4:7-8 RSV)
