Given your response to my statements, I think it shows you agree with the view that 1 day is a 1000 years. Understandable. I believe that they (the dinosaurs) were not very abundant, rarely came into contact with man and died in the flood. I've heard several views similar to yours. The two theories that I have problems with are the metaphoric view and the day of revelation view..

one unsurmountable problem with this - it means we already have death yet there hasnt yet been a fall

a planetary rotation doesnt have to be exactly 24 hours; currenlty it is 23hr 56 minutes on its own axis

but physics indicates it has to be of that magnitude

even if a day was a lunar month long then you only got 7 months to play with
so you have gained nothing

Well yeah, we won't find out everything that we want to know till after we get into heaven. But untill then, It's still fun to guess.

Your right, it is fun to guess. "Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning" we know God is eternal with no beginning or end, yet the verse begs "In the beginning of what?" Perhaps the first time God created earth? Genesis 1:2 - Now (or perhaps became) the earth was formless... Interesting thing I found regarding science is that they shed light on what the Bible has already told us. Is it so hard to believe the earth is also eternal? I wonder how many times earth has become void and our eternal Creator redresses the old with newness. Like you said, fun to guess and not all things are revealed to us but someday will be.
