The way 'church' is done today quenches the Holy Spirit.
That I think we do. We trust our calculation instead of asking God on every of our decision we make.

Is there anything that you could add to that list that might come from you personally? If not, then perhaps you were above all those things and they failed to recognize your spiritual integrity and never gave you the honor you were due. Does that sound about right? Approbation lust is a killer.
I wouldn't want approval from such people; that would mean I appeal to their moral and spiritual tastes.

This joke seems appropriate for time of year and this thread.

Yes, we fellowship in our home. I also put the word out now and then about returning to the NT paradigm of an assembly. Few r interested. They're not ready yet. Took us time to get there to.
We recieved a prophesy in '77. 'The ekklesis is not ready for you yet'. That simply means they're not ready to try the bibles description of an assembly. We're not the only dummies that want to do things Gods way.smile. Thousands are leaving organized religion for a closer walk with him. Giving up organization for an organic fellowship with believers who hunger for a deeper experience with Christ as opposed to settling for a 40 minute dry sermon every Sunday.
I know many that espouse the move of the Spirit as you do and think that is all there should be to have a meeting.

If you only rely on the Spirit moving you will end up in the ditch of gnosticism and your fellowship will be no more than a country club of believers who meet and no growth takes place and no intimacy with Father is experienced because the flesh gets in the way and is forced to "act" Spiritual for each meeting.

This is why we must be in balance with Word and Spirit flow. By word, I don't mean truly gifted Romans 12 exhorters/encourages, who are gifted in speaking unto men/women words of edification, exhortation and comfort, running around the house giving predictions over everyone.

I mean study of the written word and it come from someone who is a an Romans 12/Ephesians 4 gifted teacher. It doe snot have to be dry, but something that matures, equips and completes your fellowship.

I know folks that are claim they are only Spirit led Christians and in reality they have become gnostic spiritualists, who fall into the ditch of witchcraft without even knowing it and when the enemy hits them, they have no solid ground to stand on.

Likewise I know word only Christians that are heavy in the Bible, but have no revelation of the Holy Spirit and they fail just as bad. The ideal is to be a word infused Spirit led believer. Have balance.

I have to be honest with you here and trust it is taken as intended. Based on your past posts and this reply you seem to come across as carrying a very hostile attitude towards the office of the Pastor and the traditional church. YOu ahve denied it before but I do believe you have operated correctly and in order in one or more of the 9 gifts in traditional churches and were most likely met with a Spirit of Control over a Pastor or Pastors elders, deacons or Pastor wife and someone in that group that stuffed you, told you to shut up and sit down or that you were out of order, etc and this hurt you and as a result you have let it grown to an offense and possibly a root of bitterness. You hurt is now manifesting as pride, because you state a prophecy given to you in 77, but that word, 'The ekklesis is not ready for you yet' if taken as a word towards the church does not line up with the Word at all and because of that should be dismissed.

However, if you had received that word as a personal word to you, it does line up with God's word. If The Spirit divides upon you certain gifts , severally as he wills, you must learn to use them, when to use them and be in proper order. Sadly because there are even so called Full Gospel denominations, that will not allow gifts to manifest, learning is tough.

Did you ever pause long enough to see if God was telling you in 77, that you are not ready to operate in my gifts in the church yet? Did you ever stay at a churhc long enough for elders to help mature, equip and complete you and your gifts?

I would recommend to strongly that you take spiritual inventory of yourself and your walk and take it to the throne room and ask God why they are not ready or you are not ready. I would be very hesitant in joining your fellowship solely based on the hurt and offense you display towards the Pastors office and traditional church. I would be hesitant operating if the SPirit willed me to in your fellowship because you would attmept to control the spirit.

When truly humble and obedient sons and daughters are used in one of the Gifts and are immediately blocked, it is by the spirit of Control, which seeks to keep God in a box and keep God's word from being proclaimed.

The sad part is that those who correctly are used and silenced by the spirit of control and are not grounded in the word, and are not taught to understand about control and other assignments of the enemy agaisnt them, always fall victim to complete oppression by the spirit of control.

This is what you project friend.

I would really get a hold of issue and put it under the blood, before attempting to start anything. It might be that few r interested because YOU are still not ready for the church.

Elders is plural. They are not to control or command. Nicolaitan: nico-to subdue. Laitan:laity- the folks. To self elevate and 'lord it over His heritage'. See Diotrephes in 3John.
Elders are to serve, not rule. That is the Holy Spirits job.
Well Jesus served and was a leader at the same time so I don't understand your point. A good pastor/elder does not look to lord over anyone, the people with them submit to the God in them and learn. Maybe you should try that instead of resisting and you will be served instead of lorded over.

We are to submit one to another not everyone to one. There are to be no divisions among us. But we have a division...the clerical and the laity. Jesus said He hates it. I do not resist submitting unto the Lord in anyone. You judge me falsely. Not suppose to do that.
Its those that have presumed specialness above their brethren (for pay to boot) that we are commanded to resist. Did you read the account of Diotrephes in 3John?
Jesus said in Matt. 20 that ' the gentiles have those thst reign over them but It shall not be so among you'. (Mine).
You are right. Jesus gave us the example of a servant. He washed feet.
