I can't believe you are going to take a poll to ask people if God died for their sins.

What causes death? Sin does right? Can God sin? No God cannot sin because He is perfect and holy. Was Jesus God? Yes. Did Jesus die? Yes. So did God die? No. Jesus had two natures humanity and God. He was fully God and fully man. Jesus took on sin. That is why Jesus said “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” The Father had to turn away from Jesus became Jesus had become sin. God cannot look upon sin. Now I just said Jesus is God but, keep in mind Jesus let His deity remain passive while He was on Earth. So Jesus became sin and died for us on the Cross taking our place.

I think it's hard for anyone to truly say "God died". But it's a lot easier to say Jesus died, than go and say Jesus is God. It's more complex than just that. We have to look into who Jesus was and study out His dual nature. Is it possible Jesus was still God and died at the same time without ceasing to be God?.. I think so but I am still learning so do you guys have any Bible verses on this?

Acts 20:28 speaks of the church of God which he purchased with his own blood.

This and other verses establish the deity of Christ. He is God in the flesh yet distinct from both the Father and the Holy Spirit.

God the Son died on the cross to atone for sins.
God the Father did not.
God the Holy Spirit did not.

You are telling me that you do not believe Jesus was a man? born of a woman, just as human as you or I?
He was fully the incarnated Word of God and fully man. As the confession states he was God of God, Light of Light, Very God of Very God...he died and was buried and the third day he rose again.

The question you asked in the oneness thread answers your question. Jesus died after His divinity left, or the Father forsook Him.

I mean, I honestly don't know but that does make sense and I guess death means separation right? Jesus did say "My God My God why have you forsaken me" So... Jesus was separated from God.. That is death right? But I mean .. Did God die?? That is just a really tough one for me to get through my head.

God did not take on sin. God bore the consequence of sin for sins forgiveness. Orthodoxy is clear on this that He saw no corruption.

Actually Acts 20:28 says that the holy Spirit is the one that redeeemed us with His own blood, there is no mention of Jesus in this verse.

Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Jesus didn't just take the penalty of sin, He became sin that we might become the righteousness of Christ.

2nd Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
