Okay so I made a thread on a different site on this exact same thing. So I have literally just copied and pasted it, cause I don't feel like re-typing all the stuff I wrote.
Although every picture I've seen of Jesus portrays him with long hair, I think it's safe to say that Jesus infact did not have long hair. I guess I'll start with some scripture, Ezekiel 44:20 says "neither shall they shave their heads, nor sufer their locks to grom long." Jewish people in that day and time were to cut their hair every 30 days, so it would not grow to long. Now the next assumption people make, is that well Jesus was from Nazareth, so he made the nazarite vow and couldn't cut his hair. For those of you that don't know what the Nazarite vow is, Numbers 6:2-3,6 will describe it. Basically though you can't cut your hair, can't touch dead things, and you can't drink wine or eat the grapes. Now it is proof that Jesus did not take the Nazarite vow, as he drank wine Matt. 11:19 and he touched the hand of the dead girl Matt. 9:25. So, now that it is clear that Jesus did not make the Nazarite vow, we know that he was aloud to cut his hair. In 1 Cor 11:14 it says "Does not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair it is a shame unto him." So, contrary to popular belief I belive that Jesus did not have long hair. Now if someone thinks he did, than please tell me, cause I've always wanted to know what Jesus would have looked like, lol. BTW this thread has no purpose or point behind it,lol.
